Not for a while if at all. FI brings with it a lot of wear and tear and upkeep. In my opinion boasting a daily driver is retarded unless u plan on track time. I prefer a built motor anyway. Probably go that route after I finish up the coilovers and Works hs's I have ordered

Ya man I guess great minds think alike. I was constantly changing stuff on my Z long before I was a member on these forums, I like your WHip also man. Stay tuned, Ive got a different wheel and suspension setup coming.

The Lips...

The first one, when I had my white Volk's was a Shine Auto Cabon lip.

I sold the lip and the Volk's, bought the Varrastoens and more recently purchased the Replica Ings+1 lip.... it flows alot better now that I have blades instead of side skirts.

Nice looking ride man, I love both the rims, cool touch with the headlights and I like the front lip in the last pic. Love the color too of course! Keep up the good work!

FYI, I boosted my base model cobalt (turbo'd it), engine is holding up very well after 2 years of daily driving. As long as you run the boost at levels that are far enough away from the motor's fail point, it's no big deal at all. Yes, you are right to say that there is more maintenance involved, and also potential for a few more things to go wrong or fail (small things; for example more parts/bolts to come loose etc.) but a well-planned, solid build should be reliable for the most part if well-done.

Ya everybody loves the Shine Auto lip I had on my Z, as well as the white Volks, But white is always a pain in the A$$ to keep clean and I got tired of it.

The Ings lip flows better with my current setup.

I do agree with you on the boost, but throwing $6k+ into a kit just isnt worth it unless your gunna use it in my opinion, just sayin.

Oh you'll definitely use it, it's just that you won't push the kit's limits unless you spend even more money fortifying the engine and drivetrain to be able to take the full potential of power all day and every day if you daily drive the car. It is a lot of money though to be honest.

Just not cost affective considering my car only sees the track 3 times a year, with the occasional drift spell.... the coin aint worth it at this point. If I had gobbs of $$$ I would just to have it, just like everyone else.

yeah, unless you hit the track, using it on the street isn't exactly the best idea :P I think the Z has decent stock power or N/A build power for regular daily driving!

Why are you pronouncing the H in whip? It's silent, stop saying it like that!

PS - nice car
