I spent some time starting to put these gauges in the dash. Overall I am pretty happy with the look. I will post up some pictures of how I will secure them later this week for guys to refer to if any of you plan on doing the same. Overall its pretty straight forward, just got to take your time with the dremel.

I also installed the fuel gauge overlay, overall pretty happy with it. Didnt line up 100% but I got it very close.

I have to install the RJM clutch pedal, should be easy with everything out of the way. Then I am working with a guy (not sure if he is looking to go public yet) to install a racelogic traction control system with the no lift shift and launch control which should be damn near plug and play for us. Just waiting on the parts to arrive.But other than that I should be ready to start piecing it all together here.
I hope to be able to take it out for a spin 3 weekends from now if everything works out, probably without the racelogic but we'll see how that goes. I still have to do the clutch but that wont be something I will be able to do in the garage, ill either have to take it out to my parents farm and tough it out without a lift, or find someone or place that has a lift for me to use. I believe a bunch of us Edmonton guys have a Dyno session with the guys from specialty Z in May, so I would like to have the clutch broken in by then. Getting closer tho!

Here is a few pictures of exactly how I went about attaching the gauges to the dash.
I bought these from Canadian tire for something like $1.50 each. From there I took a dremel cut off the 2 pieces lengthwise as shown here. I used a dab of superglue to hold the nut aligned on the middle hole of the metal piece. Once it was tacked I JB welded it so that I would not have to hold it from spinning when clamping it down on the dash. I then bent both ends of the metal upwards to hook under the dash. I used a 3/16" screw that was 3" long (I wouldn't go any shorter). I then drilled a hole in the top of the gauge cover one size bigger than 3/16". I then sanded down the top of the head of the bolt to try and get it more flush so that the hat would sit evenly on top of the gauge. In order to sink the bolt head into the cap I ended up going with a 5/8" (or so) drill bit and went down about 1/16 of an inch into the hole I drilled so that it created a dish that the head of the bolt would sit in and bring it more flush with the gauge mount. I was able to get it pretty close but I also took a flapper wheel to the underside of each hat to get it to fit perfectly, then I just put a tap of silicone under it to hold it. And the finished thing. Minus the crappy iphone pic.

To wire the gauges I tapped into the power source for the original stock gauges and ran the wires down to the passenger side foot well. I have to figure out where I am going to mount all the control boxes for the gauges. But thats for another day.
Also when I had it all out I wired in Brian's @Thecarkitcompany backup cam and bypass harnesses. Now just to put on the center console.

Those gauges must be fairly thin. I wasn't able to do what you did, and I had to cut most of the plastic away under the top hat.

I should have known it was PLX. The a-pillar I made with the carbon fibre treatment used a PLX gauge, very easy to work with.

Finished matting both doors (I opted to drill the rivet out instead of removing the glass, much much easier).
And I also put some oil in her and fired it up! I am going to piss some neighbors off, the girlfriend was 2 floors up showering and she heard the car start. Its not even that loud, just very deep. Its deep enough to rattle to lattice above the garage. I let it warm up fully while checking and finding a few oil leaks. Tightened up the fittings and they look to be good, but I would like to rev it to be sure (not something I can do in the garage, haha). I am going to finish wiring in the gauges (just have to wire in the modules, everything else is ran) and hook up the boost controller. Then I would like to take it for a burn before I put everything back on the front to make sure there are no further leaks. Sooo excited. haha
