Its to give people "dafaq" reaction. But before they know what the hell is going on they will only see the rear bumper anyways. haha.

Until they're sucked up into the air filter.... :icon14:

Haha. Its going to be a black hole! Hide your kids Hide your Wife! haha

I was looking at other blacked out fang DUI's and found that most people will tape off alot more than I did, as shown here.

Should I do the same? Or will the plasti dip color match the flat black already there? I was just going to spray it all.

I would mask off everything you don't want sprayed. I can't stand overspray, even if it cleans up relatively easily.

I was thinking about painting it all, that way everything would be the same shade. What everything between the masking tape I was going to paint till I started looking through threads. You can see the slight difference in shade after the fangs were painted but not the plastic around it. Mind you here it is very minimal, he did not use Plasti Dip.

Roger that rubber ducky! Worst case I paint it later.

Plasti Dip FTW. Havent decided if I am going to do the top part of the front bumper or not. I will have to see how different the colors are once I get the car out in the sun. The flash makes them look quite a bit different, but we'll see. Overall it turned out pretty well.

Havent finished the back yet, that is the last coat drying.

Optically speaking, under direct sunlight, hues and tones that are fairly close to each other will blend in. It's when you look under overcast, flourescent or sodium vapour lighting that you can really tell if there is a colour mismatch. Keep this in mind as a tip for doing a final inspection of colour matching if your car ever goes to the body shop for paint work.

Thanks Jason. I f'ed up a bit on the rear bumper so im trying to fix it without pulling it all off and having to start over. While pulling the tape off a bit of it tore with the tape :( I smoothed it out the best I could and am in the process of coating just that section again. Fingers crossed.
