I also decided to remove the seats and center console to put some matting under them. I have not decided whether or not I am going to pull out the whole rug or just fold up the sections I am working on. Ill have to see how its secured to the front of the car under the dash. I will also have plenty of room to install the RJM clutch while I have the drivers seat out.

The rug is fillthy, the lady who owned it before me had a dog that spent alot of time in the car :/. I am going to clean it all up before putting the seats back in.

Ill get there eventually, I am still waiting on a gauge to show up so I am not in a huge rush to pull it a part yet. Starting to run out of things to do to it, haha. What does suck is I cannot put the paneling back on because it almost comes off from the back and then works its way to the front.

Nope, but it all has to come out to do the clutch here when the roads clear up, so ill just do it then :) Its not a huge job to remove the turbo and piping, a few bolts and clamps.

I think I am going to plasti dip the fangs in the front and around the rear fog light in the back this week while I wait for more parts to show up. I think that will match the headlights and emblems and blend it all together.

Nice build so far. I had a 40th too (I bought the first one Sherwood Nissan got in), so I'm still partial to it.

Thanks! I did notice that while looking for my 370Z there was ALOT of 40ths for sale, most of them in Ontario. Leads me to believe there has to be more than 1000, haha.

One day ill move up to the GTR, although I think I am going to like this thing to much to even consider it for some time.

I got the SPC arms in in the front today as well as the camber arms in the back. I didnt have the right tools to bore out that Toe adjuster so I just put the new bolts in and will hope for the best when it comes to alignment. If I cant get within spec then I will worry about either getting a shop to do it or buying the right tools to do it myself. I also got the spacers on and the tires seem to stick out a fair bit. Ill have to see what they look like once I take the car off the jack stands.

I also got a GTM traction control unit on the way, I am thinking I will wait to tear the dash out until the first few weeks in march after I have everything that needs to go behind it ready to go. I would like to finish up the matting and get the rest of the trunk done and put back together before tearing out the dash. Its alot to remember where stuff goes, haha.

I think this weekend if I get enough time I am going to paint my fangs and around the rear fog light with some plasti dip. I figured it will match the lights and door handles.

djpathfinder 02-08-2013 10:29 PM

The wheels and tires will tuck in once the car is lowered off the stands and it sits on its own suspension.

GaleForce 02-08-2013 10:32 PM

GTM traction control unit! Cool! I'll have to check it out.

It aint cheap, but from what I could find on it it sounds pretty awesome. They just take a Racelogic brain and build their own harnesses so that it is all plug and play, no cutting of any wires.

Mitco39 02-09-2013 10:36 AM

One of the only good videos of the Racelogic doing its thing. The in car video starts around 3:00.
