Yup 100% stock, I was surprised. Id probably begin to start pulling on her after 120 but I didnt want to push it that far. This was on a pull from 60 up. She had a stupid smirk on her face all night. lol

Havent posted in here in awhile but I do still have the Z infact we opened up our own tuning shop complete with a Dynodynamics 2wd dyno. We got signed up to be a tuner for ECUTek and I spent the last 2 days tuning my personal Z with it. Got the fuel dialed in and started to slowly crank it up then ran into the same stupid issues I been having for quite some time now, the fuel pressure would drop significantly when laying into it.
I pulled the fuel assembly out last year and found an oring leaking, I thought I had it fixed but I am guessing I blew through another one. Ran out of time today to pull the pump out the of the car but did manage to snap a pretty neat picture of how it currently sits. I been told that DD dynos read low, but I am looking to try and see how much I can push out of her with the fuel we have around here. Also after running the innovative SCG-1 I think I am ready to sell it, I miss the features my EVC had and the ability to have more control over the boost. I am also going to see about getting my factory ECM to handle the boost via ECUtek, curious to see how that will work.

Does Sasha have a solution for the low fuel pressure?
If not, I have a theory and possible solution. Congratulations on the new dyno/shop and I look forward to your success stories

Cold day (semi cold engine) and its perfectly fine, as it heats up it gets worse and worse to the point where it cant even make regulator pressure at idle. If its cavitation it might be because of the stock filter attached to the bottom of the 255 pump, maybe there is just not enough flow there and when the temp increases the fuel increases its tendency to cavitate. It probably doesnt help that the return is so close to the pickup so that that hot fuel just makes laps getting hotter and hotter. Just a few ideas I had over the year or so, ill start with the simplest and check for leaks as I did find one last year and replaced the oring. Might have to turn down the pressure incase that is what is causing it. If I cant find a leak then im not quite sure, might try running it without the factory screen in the tank and see what happens, if it helps ill install a inline filter and call it good.

One of the big issues on a return system is heat and the lack of volume in the stock pumps cavity. The internal filter takes up too much room. Plus over time the filter does get less efficient and flows less (minor)
A external filter is a good idea but still doesn't solve the volume issue. I've seen stock pumps casings with the internal filter removed and that may solve the volume issue. Those are my thoughts anyways

I do agree with you on the internal filter being to big, unfortunately the one that comes with the 255 pump just will not fit in the stock basket. I have looked at what the GTR guys are doing and it seems like they dont run baskets in high volume situations, I could be wrong but its just from what I saw after some googling. I would assume the GTR has the same saddle style tank as the 370z, again I have to spend more time looking at what they do, I could be 100% wrong. But if they run basketless and have a saddle tank with no issues why are we any different. I think the issue is that the hot fuel is going back into that basket and its just circulating the same fuel over and over, a cooler would help but I am not sure where I would fit one. They also suggested using a controller to turn down the fuel pump at idle to minimize the amount of fuel flowing through the system. I will hopefully pull it today and I hope its something simple like a oring leaking. I will pressurize the system and go from there I guess. Thanks for the advice Lloyd!

Found the issue,
It was that same bloody oring that was blown out again. Either I modded my basket wrong or I am doing something incorrect, maybe I am just running to much fuel pressure for this stock basket. I turned down the pressure a bit got a fatter oring stuffed in there and we will try again haha. Mitch
