Me too. I've been driving rental shitboxes for a month.

I'm not putting any names in my story until my car is back in hand.

Well, I picked up the car a few minutes ago. Feels really good so far. Ended up with a six puck instead of the full face I originally had installed, so it's a bit grabbier and noisier, but it's still so much better than the Spec I had that it's not even comparable. I had the shop heat wrap all the turbo kit plumbing while he was in there, so that's a plus. I forgot how much that stuff smells burning in. I'll have to wait for it to get warmer to see if it makes an appreciable difference in underhood temps.

Yeah, issues do come up. It's the test of a good vendor and shop how they deal with these issues.

Right on...beware the vendor that says they never produced a bad product or jacked something up. I just want them to take care of me when they do...

After some driving, it seems like everything is fixed. I'm sure I'll re-bleed the clutch just to be sure the way the pedal feels is normal, but other than that I'm satisfied with the product I ended up with. Still, if I had a time machine I'd go back and buy from ZSpeed or Z1. Going with Specialty Z cost me weeks of a rental car and more labor. I'm probably out $1k+ because of that first clutch disc being bent. Not to mention the cost of a new master cylinder I didn't need.
I can't recommend them to anyone based on their handling of this situation. They said all the right things, but they fell through on the whole "help out with labor" thing even though RPS (who actually makes their clutches) clearly recognized a problem, or he wouldn't have eaten the cost of the replacement disc.

Car's been hibernating for a week or so now, with another few weeks to go. I had to take my dad's car off his hands while he recovers from eye surgery just to get it out of my mom's way, so it's the perfect time to tinker with the Z now that I can drive something else during any downtime. New spark plugs ordered. I figure I'll delete the throttle body coolant lines while I'm in there and maybe put a dent in the stack of uninstalled parts in the garage. Fuel pressure gauge, maybe the RJM clutch pedal, maybe even detail it if the weather cooperates.
At this rate it'll be March before I get all the break in miles for the clutch knocked out.

Does your clutch pedal engage about 1.5'' lower than it did stock (I know it has been a while since you felt the stocker). I just re-bleed my clutch and it's a lot better now. It engages about 1.5'' lower than my stocker.
