It engages a bit lower than my pos spec, but I can't remember how it felt stock. You can probably raise it a bit at the master cylinder.

I'm not sure how to do that. I'll drive it for a week or so and see how I like it. I bet I will raise it since I like it to catch up higher.

The rod connecting the clevis to the master cylinder can be adjusted a bit to raise/lower the engagement point.

Welp, it was time to make a big boy decision. I had some radiator drain plug issues again, and the car was down for a week while I got a replacement. I've come out of pocket for more rental cars over the last six months than I'd care to admit. I am finally accepting the fact that my project car should not be my daily driver.

So I went and bought an econobox. A 2015 Mazda 3. Out of all the econoboxes, this had the most features and felt the best to drive under $20k. It didn't hurt that Mazda was running some killer financing incentives over the weekend. This thing is looking like it will cost almost nothing to run. 40 mpg on 87 octane.

And the best part is there's absolutely no performance to speak of. It's slow as balls. And there are no parts that will fix that problem so I won't be tempted to mod it.

Enjoy!

Good luck with the Z

The Z will be back on the road this weekend. Upgraded to a CSF triple pass radiator from the old one. Ravi at CSF was texting me getting my replacement lined up while he was on safari in Africa. That's service on another level.

It was pretty frustrating having the drain snap off again, but now I get to upgrade so I'll call it a wash.

And now that the Z is no longer the daily driver it's going to be fun to work on again. There's no joy in working on your car late Sunday knowing you need it to get to work on Monday.

Well, my stack of uninstalled parts keep growing. I've mothballed a Phunk oil pan, ATI damper and now one of the new RJM master cylinders. Guess I need to get off my *** and start working on the car again.

Every time I think I've got a spare weekend to do something for myself, it disappears in the blink of an eye. The last month or so I'v been working on the in-laws' house since it got flooded. Luckily, I'm reaching the limit of my construction abilities, so I can get back to my own projects soon.

Your car's still down?
