I appreciate any feedbacks/inputs/suggestions. Enjoy! Delivery: 04/2010 with 8 miles. Car: 2010 Nissan 370z Transmission: 6MT Trim: Sports / Touring Options: - OEM Navigation - Nismo Brake Pads I think I was stupid enough to check off everything on the list when I pre-ordered it. It was my birthday present to myself. Last edited by scruffydog; 03-04-2013 at 01:43 PM. |

Powder Coated Rims
For my last years Birthday present, my gf got my wheels powdercoated @ Wheels Techniques in SJ. I'm so happy it did as I've always wanted it like the 40th Anniversary edition. I thought the 40th was a little light so I wanted to replicate the LF-A, IS-F, GT-R look....here goes it....enjoy
I had the caps painted soon after to match the wheels. |

If you're referring to the brake duct, then yes it does - especially when you track your car. There's not a lot of air flow to the brakes in the 370z.
I was able to reduce the rotor temp by at least 100° from my R/C Car Temperature gun. I would think the hotter you push the car's brake, the more you'll reduce. Under hard braking in my last track day, my front rotors (stock - not cross drilled) read ~285° after a cool down lap. Compared to my buddies that drove under the same condition with a: 2008 E92 M3 (Cross Drilled Rotors) - his front front rotors reading 390° 2008 350Z (Not sport Brakes) - over 400°+, my temp gun couldn't read anything over 400°. |

couple quick question are your temps in F or C?

Stillen's 2.5" diameter
Stillen's Brake Cooling Kit claimed:
"During testing the non-cooled rotors reached 600 degrees while the cooled side only reached 456 degrees. This is a temperature difference of over 140 degrees or 25%" I prolly haven't benefitted drastically with a 3" diameter vs 2"/2.5" diameter air duct hose as there are limitations thru bends and the cross section are of the inlet, but anything is better than none with the stock 370z Akebono sports brake when tracked. |
