This sounds like a bad idea. Hard object is not good flying around. You are better off using those wide angle Go Pro or Contour. Quality might be slightly off, but it's far from unaccepttable

I thought of the same thing too. I only have 1 go pro but I don't have anywhere to mount it on that can capture the in dash view. I was originally hoping to do something that can mount something universal camera tripod fit. 1/4-20 I believe is the size.

I also realized that My SLR won't have enough of a good stabilizer compared to a go pro. Perhaps a helmet mount is the only place for now. I can't think of a small enough of a bracket that can leverage off from the cross beam.

invest in a cheap obd 2 reader and some cheap software. do a search on 370z lrp and you will see what I did. I did everything for less than 300 except my data logger cost more

Thanks Cossie! So far all I have is a KIWI PLX Wifi (~$160) hooked up to my iPhone 4S with Harry's Laptimer (~$19) and a suction mount (~$30).

It'll have to do for awhile before I get more serious and make more money. My buddy is promoting this Qstarz lap timer...

I don't know much about it, but it sounds pretty cool. No input from OBD II though.

dont bother with anything over $100 outside of what you have. Save up by and buy a AIM timer for 500-600.

It is down to $399 now

Sad to see you also had a bad experience with EVO-R.
Me personally will never buy anything from then again.

This is an awesome thread nonetheless!

Thanks, hopefully they can find a wing that's in good condition. Otherwise, I would need my refund. We'll see...

Default Steering Lock Fuse Pulled

So I decided to do the preventative fix for the Dreaded Steering Lock.

Works like magic.
