Maybe Sam can make you another bracket and just relate it with out adding let oil lines?

If push comes to shove, I'll replace it with two 25's, but it prove a difficult sell. Going resale is $700+ and it's worth every penny of that. I like having things sold before they are removed. This is one of those mods that is just overkill fir 95% of Z owners. I got it for the extreme desert heat.

Sick build! Thanks for your service. I find it amusing that many members here are also into computing/gaming. I purchased a new GTX Titan four weeks ago and it's still in the box. Course I purchased my Z a week later. The Titan can wait! I'll be keeping an eye on both your builds. Get home in one piece!

Sweet! I wish I could justify having one. I'm looking at upgrading my GPU's soon, running out of VRAM and the 560ti's are starting to show their age in newer games

Looks like I have company

Thank you :) I decided to index and organize things a few weeks ago. Made a thread too: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-g...g-threads.html. I think I'm going to consolidate multiple sequential postings into one as well. So long as it doesn't affect the flow of reading. Guess I have a lot of time on my hands haha.

Edit: Consolidated most of my posts.

Got an update from Mike today. He told me they fired up the car and so far so good. I was thinking it might create a mini black hole, but thankfully that did not come to pass. They also got the JWT clutch, flywheel, and upgraded CSC installed as well. I inquired about the condition of my pulleys after removal for a potential sell.

"The NST alternator pulley is fine...the crank pulley, not so much. It has a gouge where we had to brace the pulley to keep it from turning while the crankshaft bolt was being removed (which was a bear to remove). The only way around that would have been to drop the motor to get a 1" drive impact gun on it...even then, no guarantees with aluminum crankshaft pulleys. You can probably grind it down a little where it's gouged, sand and paint it if you want to sell it in pristine condition. You're lucky, because we've seen a lot worse...we've had to resort to more destructive measures to remove them in the past."

I really need to see what it looks like to see if I should sell in as is condition or make the cosmetic repairs and sell for slightly higher. I'm sure there is a bargain hunter that will pick them up regardless. Currently Simota has dibs from prior convo, so if he doesn't want it any longer after we see what it looks like, I'll make a FS post.

So all in all, mostly good news. The pulley news was mostly expected, but also better than I had anticipated considering the horror's I've seen you youtube with their removal. I did ask about getting their sweet oil pan, but no answer on that yet. I also asked about gauges and anything they feel may be a very good idea I have. Nothing on that yet as well. I'll reengage in a couple weeks if it was forgotten.

Totally off topic, but my Wife just sent this to me and dubbed it our new theme song. I lost my $hit listening to it haha.

Edit: going on a week and no update, withdrawals are kicking in hard... I'm really wanting to see what the pulleys look like currently. I'm wondering what they are doing over there lol. Maybe putting on my new brake upgrades? I'll keep from my urge to email spam... for now.

That's awesome!

Mandingo 05-06-2013 05:57 PM

This is all so cool. Have you received any estimate of the total installed weight of the kit?

I have not. I would guesstimate at least 75lbs? It would be comparable to a TT kit, but this would have more weight up front and higher.

KaienZ34 05-06-2013 06:31 PM

It's the coolness factory, not the weight that matters.
