Stillen 402852 Generation 3 Ultra Long Tube Dual Intake Kit Now have to decide on the exhaust, definitely decided against the long tube headers, why emissions incase i move to some place that has them. Still going FI. |

Cant wait to hear the FI. :happydance: |
Dropped the Z off at Twin City Nissan, Nissan is repainting my roof for me under warrenty:tiphat:
|
Next step in modding is happening, just placed my order for FI exhaust.
Delivery date is mid August, they are busy, but I am glad I have gotten it order Now I have to research headers and check on when my recaro's are showing up... |

Got the Z back from Nissan body shop and the roof looks great and the spots are gone along with a bunch of other marks... THANK YOU NISSAN...
Now how to keep the roof looking that good It looks brand new again :happydance: |
Into May, and things are looking good, the Recaro seats should be here by June, which means I have to start looking at how to put them in or install them and figure out the electrical stuff
FI exhaust may be here sooner than I thought, so time to look for a header... |
Took another trip to Atlanta, Knoxville, Atlanta and actually saw 2 other 370z on the way back.... very rare to see another Z, maybe because the weather is nice..
Most surprising item, on one trip, (i take 411, nice slow/no traffic/where speed limit is 35-55) and the Z along that road got 30.5 MPG, talk about amazing, that I was able to drive the speed limit and get the MPG:bowrofl: |
very pleased with the MPG average 29.5 round trip from knoxville to Atlanta an back

did a minor cosmetic mod today, add carbon fiber B-Pillars,
was going to send them back and then said way not... |

Where did you get these? |
Quote:
you can always google 370z B-Pillar and get lots of links, these came from zcarparts.com, with shipping about 145.00. Prices vary greatly on these, based on where you get them. Here is the link Motorsport! EVO-R Carbon Fiber B-Pillars, 09-14 370Z - The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z 280ZX 300ZX ( Z31 Z32 ) 350Z 370Z Parts |
Another round trip to atlanta and back last weekend, will be glad when the schedule gets back, but MPG was 28.9, very pleased... always helps to save gas, then you can go fast at another time
|
Interesting week from Knoxville to atlanta to Ft Bragg to Knoxville, about a 1000 miles on the car, average over 26 mpg, just cursing a bit above the speed limit....
It made me remember a quote that I use. Always I believe is to drive it hard and then drive it harder, (always in safe conditions), but the other is hard to follow. Remember you bought it to DRIVE IT So much worried over mileage and value, the truth is -- the Z needs to be driven and driven hard for the car lives for it |

The Z store also has these Jay and is local to us here in Cali. If I was to order parts in the morning and they were in stock they would be in the mail that day and at my place the next afternoon. If they are out of stock and you order they'll give you the option of a refund or to have free shipping on the second/late shipment. Welcome To Motorsport & The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts! I just got my Zele CF B pillars in yesterday from bulletproof |

Nothing exciting today, just wash the car and got it looking shiny and new...
|
Got some good news last night, the Recaro Seats that I order will be here next week. Finally after 4 months the seats will be here next week.
then the fun and excitement of getting them installed begins..... |
Trip to atlanta, got great gas mileage again...
GF and I were eating at our popular site and saw 2 other 370Z... chuckled to myself... since it is so rare to see them out and about |
Hey! Cool beans on the seats. Looking forward to pictures!

went looking for another car/truck, not to replace the Z, but another to maybe have fun with or a bit more functional (LOL)... Got some nice comments from a dealer about the Z, it always draws comments
|
Monday, it was service day, got the oil change at the Nissan Dealership,
so glad that so many months ago, I purchase the Nissan Gold Service Plan, pretty much takes care of all routine maintenance, oil changes are free for 85 months along with other service items, air filters, etc.... This plan is no longer offer, maybe they lost money on it...:rofl2: |
another Monday trip, this time it was to Discount Tire, seems the right rear driver tire had picked up a nail... and had developed a slow leak... no problem, since tires were bought at Discount Tire, along with that warrant stuff, all fixed and out the door...
Thou it is time to get some new tires to replace what I have now: MICHELIN Pilot Super Sport Front 265/35 19 ZR Rear 305/30 19 ZR is about 1700.00, good tires all around, for all weather, except below 40 ... I think the only thing I would do, is maybe go to 295 in back... |

Need to but this on my list and start looking at, for it is time |
Almost bought a RX-8 today, drove nice, but in the back of my mine, concerns about the rotary engine, kept surfacing. This RX-8 was 2nd gen, so reading the forums confirm my concern, a lot better than the 1st gen. I want something to play with along with the Z, RX-8 might offer more surprises than I want....
The sales guy, stated what a great looking car I had with the Z, always getting attention.:driving: |
The car search goes on, test drove an automatic 2003 350Z, ran pretty good, felt good, so I made an offer of 8K, considering the car had 128K and 2 accidents, but they would not bite, they counter with 9940, but that was too rich for me, needed tires, and a couple mirror fixes,
had leather/power seats ..... not bad but not the price I wanted to pay... |
forgot to add the salesperson was all over the Z....:hello:
|
clean up the Z and made the old tires look new :)
also went out and checked out another 350z.. one owner from Calif... looked clean inside going to look at on tuesday also checked out a cr-z, giving that some thought too.. Happy 4th of July |
Z always attracts attention. Always. And PSS FTW.

Sales person was real nice, we talked for sometime, she appreciated cars. Liked the Z, with the carbon fiber items and wheels.... that is because she has owned a NSX for about 15 years and has BRZ as a daily driver.... just have to keep looking |

lost two of my nismo tire value covers,
so I found these on Amazon, not bad looking a little more CF |
well watching the TC class of World Challenge and taking pole and leading for a bit is a 370z.... never knew that there was 370z in that class (they are racing at Road America)
I cheated, went and looked at the results the 370Z won the race:bowrofl::ughdance: There are 3 370Zs running in TC.... |
re-checked the results this morning, and for TC race 7 and 8, the 370z, won both races that weekend..... heard a comment from one of the announcers, stated the Z engine noise was one of the better ones out there, comment about the power too...
|
Stop at subway after autocross today
and again the Z gets attention, the girls working there today commented on how much they like the car... |
Autocross was fun today, have to make it fun or I try to hard and goof
I run STM, mainly because of mods, otherwise it would be ASP and nobody is in ASP Ran tire pressure 37-38 front and 35-34 rear. It felt pretty good, but the truth is I have not idea at times. The course double back on itself twice and it was 3/4 of a mile. my best was 70.xxx, about 9 seconds off the lead, but it is STM... but had a great time and that is what it is all about |
last one for tonight, as I mentioned looking for a 350Z, and what I have found is there holding there value... hard to find a clean good one under 10K, and reality lost my chance one last week.
There is another one owner, 128K, and there asking 12K.... just find it interesting |
Today was an interesting day at autocross, saw a thread on the autocross about front tires @ 40 and rears @ 34, and it worked. Tires were not over inflated when I got back in and I did have a couple of good pushes
Also had my fastest run when I trusted the car and kept my foot off the break. This has been a hard thing for me to do, for I have lead in my right foot |
took a trip to atlanta for the weekend, got great mileage again about 29.
interesting comments, on the car again ... |
