My kit was shipped today. I should have it within a couple of days, they are located 3-4 hours west of me.

I think I have it looking good. Just finishing up the passenger side, then I need to clean up the inner wheel well areas. I need to shave down the carbon fibre fangs a little more for a better fit along the edge of the Mine's lip. After that I'll be repairing the carbon fibre defect on the rear bumper and modifying the fog light hole so the fog light can fit. I also have an A-Pillar project on the go at the same time.

Considering I'm not a bodyman, I think its all going well.

It's only money. If I screw up, I need to buy a new bumper...

I was one of the top custom car audio installers in Canada and I've been privileged enough to have some of my work published in several different magazines.

I'm used to making one-off parts out of almost anything you can think of. Anytime you do a project like this (and this is simple compared to some of the projects I've done for paying customers), you need a good game plan, take your time, keep moving forward. I just haven't done this type of stuff on the outside of the car before and some of the products I'm using now didn't exist when I was getting paid to do custom work. It's feels good to get back into this.

GaleForce, how do you like your new clutch? Can you give alittle review about it? Did the install go smooth?

I have only put 150 miles on the clutch. I need to do 300-400 miles of stop-and-go driving for proper break in.

It took the guys at AMS (Toronto) 1 to 1.5 days to install it. Unfortunately they had problems bleeding the system and 98% of my drive home was with a dead clutch pedal. They told me they'll look after re-bleeding the clutch in the spring if I can't make it better myself.

I only heard clutch chatter once. That was when I got home after the install. There was air in the clutch system, that might have been the issue. I bled the system myself at the Clutch Master Cylinder, but could only drive around the block because I don't have full insurance on it (garaged for winter)

Initial clutch feeling is good, slightly heavier than stock. I have to wait until spring to really test things.

I will post my thoughts about it in the spring when the car comes back out.

I also have a RJM Performance clutch pedal assembly. I'm going to hold off installing that until I break the clutch in. I want to make sure the clutch is good to go before I change anything else related to it. Unless I can install the new clutch pedal assembly and have it in a "stock/factory" set up.

^ That's what scares me about aftermarket clutches/flywheels. I've read many horror stories about bad installs and bleeding problems. I just ordered a South Bend stage 2 setup, need to find a competent and experienced mechanic here in central TX.

I'm sure you'll have an easier time finding a competent installer than I did.

I really wanted to get this installed before I put the turbo in (less parts to remove) and the shop I wanted to go to closed last fall (SG Motorsports) to focus on racing. Hopefully it all works out next spring. *fingers crossed*
