:iagree: I want to move somewhere warmer to! I was looking into both Florida and Texas!

Only problem is getting a visa/green card to work and live, otherwise I would have probably already done it :ugh2: But Jason, you and I could start an electrical business together if we could get approved:tup:

Lets do it! I'm a little freaked out about Texas though. I hear they have huge roaches. :ugh2:

What is that little red filter near the right intake? And why did you choose to go with dual BOVs instead of the single?

Looks awesome!!!

Thats the crankcase vent, there is one on the other side as well its just pointing towards the camera. I was actually going to ask if you Jason if you tried to modify the passengers side to stand up just like it does on the drivers side. Maybe one could get a drivers side line and make it work? I spent a bit of time looking at this while I was doing my injectors. Or maybe change out the drivers side so that it lays down like the passengers?

Whats the hp at rear whit this turbo kit??

Just to touch on this subject. The standard turbo is a Billet 6266 with the T4 twin scroll 1.0 a/r turbine housing. This housing has shown to flow up to 550whp, and that is about the limit of that turbine a/r.

The kit is also available with two larger turbine housings, a 1.15 a/r and a 1.32 a/r. These larger turbines provide more flow capability, hence an increase in power. So the 1.32 a/r housing on the same turbo would yield 650whp on pumg gas.

These different size housings do not cost anything extra, it is just a matter of spcifying it when purchasing the kit.

You can find the turbo specs here:

Mitco39 answered the red filter question. About the dual BOV's, I did two just for looks. I plan on showing the car and the BOV's under the hood are just to have something to look at.

Mitch, it's on my to-do list. After a quick look, I don't think we can reuse the passenger side hose to have the filter stand up. I'll have a look to see if the driver side can be ported over to the passenger side or if we need to make something.

Keep me posted if you come up with a solution before me.

Hmm, I should have thought ahead better, I case I build he engine. Oh well. I can't imaging the housing will cost too much if I swap it out down the road.

That is the nice thing about this kit, the housing is only $250 if purchase separately/upgraded down the road, and is very easy to swap out due to easy access of the turbo.

Z1 hood struts

I installed the Z1 hood struts today. The only problem was on one of the struts the C clip inside of the cup was stopping the ball from fully going in. As a result I couldn't insert the locking clip. The fix was to take a small flat screwdriver and rotate the C clip until it was sitting in such a way that the ball could be fully inserted.

As far as the "hood bulge" issue,

I studied my hood prior to the install and noticed the driver side sits higher than the passenger side. This was consistent for the length of the hood. I did not notice a change after the hood was installed.

Loving the build! I ran the breather filters for awhile, but noticed under boost oil would seep out the filters and drip down onto the exhaust manifolds, not much, but enough to see smoke on long trips boosting. I ended up running a custom oil catch.

Nice job and I love how you always give a detailed review with good facts/tips! Also liking the look with hood struts

Do you have pictures of the set-up in your build thread? I'll have to do some research on the catch can set-up.
