The dash is out, but I forgot to take a quick picture of it out. Time to figure out mounting the gauges.

It is a bit of a headache. It was going smoothly until I needed to remove two plugs from the vents in the stop of the dash. They did not want to come out.

Installing Defi gauges. I needed to remove the dash to properly remove the triple gauge.

Funny, it was running through my head when I couldn't get those two little plugs out.

It's all good now, I'll take a quick picture of the dash removed today. The plan was to install gauges today, but I think I'll install my RJM Performance clutch pedal assembly while I have the room to work.

Awesome Jason,

How long did it take you to get to that point? I am assuming you needed a puller to get the wheel off?

It took 1 to 1.5 hours for remove everything, taking my time to be careful. You don't need a puller to remove the steering wheel, but you do need a T-30 tamper proof torx bit to remove two screws that release the airbag.

I suggest getting a copy of the service manual, and follow this DIY for steering wheel removal, DIY: Steering Wheel Removal

As promised. I pulled that dash last night before I went I bed. I should have stayed in the garage because I spent the next 2 hours wide awake in bed planning the next steps...

You make it look easy, if it were me I would wanna get that thing back on there as soon as possible before I forget where everything went. haha. Looking through your thread makes me wanna skip out on work and get back in the garage

I know what your saying. I didn't want to stop last night. I really wanted to get it all back together.

I'm a very visual guy, when I do this I lay screws and other parts in very specific places that help me remember what goes where and when. If someone walked into my garage right now and moved everything in the car I would be screwed.

I am curious to see how you mount those gauges, I would assume your are going to keep those stock 3 gauges together and intact so you can replace them in need be? In that case you are going to have to fab up a mount for all 3 correct? It would be nice if someone made a mounting system for our cars.
