Double check the side port. The one next to the 1/8th NPT port. I'm pretty sure that's where my leak was. It tight but not tight enough from the factory. Put 19mm on it and snugnit down real good. If you mount it in a similar location as I did you can check and tighten it from the top without pull the undershroud or getting under the car. I had to buy a stub 19mm to get on it though. I'll be making it part of my weekend maintenance.

What did you use on the oil filter nut? Thread sealant?

Yes.

BTW, all the fitting on my Greddy piece are only finger tight.

jwick 04-27-2014 08:13 PM

I didn't use anything. I tightened ot as much as possible and left it. You tighten n it when you screw the filter on anyway

Seats update...

The seats made it to the US. They sat in customs for 3 weeks. When finally released, the US distributor opened the boxes to check the seats and do a photo shoot before sending them to me... and guess what. The manufacturer screwed up. The seat base was wrong, the stitching was wrong, but they did get the seat heaters installed. :ugh2:

The US distributor has contacted the manufacturer in Germany. The manufacturer is taking full responsibility for the mistakes and are expediting new seats done to my specifications, then air shipping them to the US. They are expected to have the seats made in a week, and shipped out. Once in the US, the distributor will check (again) and do a photo shoot, then ship directly to me. They will cover all costs including brokerage/duties/etc, as they should. If these are not done in a timely manner, I will be getting a full refund. :ugh2:

Building cars is such a pain in the ***. I would have expected a better experience given the amount of money spent.

jwick 04-29-2014 07:11 PM

That sucks...

edconline 04-29-2014 07:13 PM

Damn, sorry to hear that :( hopefully they get it right this time and it doesn't take too long.

Wtf?! I know mistakes happen but somebody in that plant is complacent. I would have that supervisors ***.
Sorry for your troubles. :(

Unfortunately this is the way of the "global economy" now. Better add another layer of management, and more paper work so we know where to point fingers when someone on the assembly line errs. Like I say at work, building these cars is getting in the way of our paper work.

The idiots are out breeding. Kinda hard to catch up when you have to worry about work and actually being able to afford them

Plasmite 04-29-2014 08:51 PM

I solved that problem by deciding to never have any :D

Hope your seats go beyond your expectations when you finally do get them Galeforce
