Where did you have all of the work done? Nissan shop?

Btw, are you going to list the specs and total time & money spent? I'm really interested in this.

Tnx!

Here is a list of cost. Be advised that I might have missed a couple of items:
1. Labor for disassembly and reassembly paid to Nissan 2900.00
2. Gtm valve train 1500.00
3. Gtm stage 1 heads 2000.00
4. Gtm torque converter 625.00
5. Gtm HD flex plate 435.00
6. JUN exhaust cams 650.00
7. Cosworth head gaskets 315.00
8. ARP L19 headstuds 529.00
9 Z1 engine and transmission mounts 400.00
10. Stillen transmission cooler 329.00
11. NST pulley set 250.00

All these parts were added at the same time during the reinstall. I had all the bolt on before the motor build so the bolt on parts are not listed.
The total time was about 6 months due to shipping and GTM backlog of work at the time and reassembly of the engine back in the car. I am missing all the shipping cost for the heads and the torque converter cause from Guam it was ridiculous. This is a basic idea of the cost I had for this build. A lot of small cost r not included either. The dealership also replace both VVEL actuators under warranty just to match them with the new heads. That was a hookup. If I think of anything else I will will update this post. So far I haven't had any problems at all. The engine is so much louder then before and u can hear the cams due to the larger duration of the cams. Next upgrade is going to be the transmission valve body in increase the line pressure safely throughout the transmission.

Can you tell me more about the valve train and heads? like why did you go for stage 1 instead of 3-4 etc?

Nice to see well thought out upgrades to your build. What else do you have in mind for the car?

I went with stage 1 due to a couple reasons. First, the price difference from stage 1 to even stage 2 or stage 3 wasn't worth it for me. Also, from GTM advice I wanted a good street setup and nothing to aggressive and wanted to still be able to pass smog inspections when I go back to the states stage 1 heads was the best. The valve train comes with dual valve springs, titanium retainers, titanium valves stock size and valve locks. Next for the car is valve body and new clutch plates from excedy for the transmission due to mine being an auto. After that the bottom end and for that I am going with JUN pistons and connecting rods. I am not looking to make this crazy hp I really want something that's fast but also reliable. My car only has 10,000 miles on it so the motor is still new and I want to utilize it before I start messing with the bottom end.

Do you guys think it's worth it for me to add these since the labor/install is a lot? It would be going on a g37 with full bolt on's and tune.

I think it's great I don't regret the build at all. The car pulls really strong till redline and has a lot of top end power. I have done a couple of e tunes through uprev but waiting to really tune when I get to Hawaii due to Guam not having a dyno. The biggest problem is determining which valve bucket size you need so the valve doesn't hit the piston due to the increased duration of the cams. The mechanic will have to install then tighten down and the check and if not correct has to preform the same process again with different sizes and that's really what takes the longest. Every engine is different so there is not just one size that Nissan has for all the engines.

I meant if it'd be worth it to add just the cams?

It's not just swapping in the new cams like most engines. You will have to swap the buckets to or the valves will hit the pistons.

Hey guys, I have had my catch can installed for a bit but one of the hose melted to I had to wait for the new one to come in from ARC. So I am now posting the pics I have from when i received the can to having it installed and the completed hose set. It looks so sweet under the hood. I am not really into buying parts just for looks but more for performance but this mod i don't regret at all looks great.
