Doc V's Project
Hey everyone! So I decided to finally put together a build thread for my car. I got this a couple of months ago as a 2011 leftover (only 50 miles or so) for an AWESOME deal I couldn't pass up. It was basically a present to myself for finishing pharmacy school and finding a pretty sweet first job. Without further adieu, here are my progress pics thusfar:
Here is the most recent pic at an autocross event in South Jersey: finally an updated video from the beginning of this season with new dyno numbers and alignment from RT Tuning. Fantastic shop for everyone in the tristate area! Nice start I love the side blades. What are your future plans?
I've been toying with the idea of supercharging it but to be honest, coming from a 130whp sluggish Honda Accord coupe I am PLENTY happy with the power for a while. I want to find a not-so-over-the-top carbon fiber front lip to continue the look around the front bumper into the side blades. Not really looking to go crazy with CF, and actually never even thought I'd put any CF on the car. My friend who had a yellow Z had his side blades in the garage and gave em to me for free. I think suspension and new brake pads plus a trip to the track is in order next summer.

Do u live in central jersey? I think ive seen you driving on route 9 before!
Haha yes I do TS, and I'm ALWAYS on route 9! Where do you live? I'm in Freehold.
Haha I'm in Manalapan.. And here I am thinking I'm the only Z in the area haha
lol nope, in fact I live across from best buy so I'm probably a minute away from you. What color is yours? I've seen one or two in driveways going around Manalapan. I'm always at that meet at Wegmans on Friday nights, even though I think it's done now that it's colder out.
Yea your about 2 miles away haha.. I have a pearl white sport package one with a blacked out roof
Need to get the dyno graph (still) - but got the Motordyne M370 intake manifold installed and retuned at JDS Motoring. Ended up with 345rwhp 240lb/ft (thought I had 265 last time, but was mistaken? I dunno, numbers look odd to me). Car feels awesome though.

Eibach lowering springs ordered... just praying that I don't rip my front plastic "sport lip" off the first time I try to get up my driveway! hah
It flexes very well

Horrible picture, but I got the oil cooler and lowering springs on today thanks to Jas from JDS Motoring!

Looks good they should settle a little lower too.
That'd be perfect! I love the way it sits now, and the ride didn't suffer at all. Not sure if the handling improved at all, but I was happy with it as is after the sway bars. Time to look for a nice front lip now that I know I can make it up my own driveway. hah I'm thinking the Evo-R with the middle carbon fiber piece and sides painted silver. I don't want anything too overbearing like the Mine's CF lip. Thoughts?
I like the evo-r parts, do the lip to go with your side blades, then get some rear spats. Simple, clean, and sexy!
