Fook. Sorry to see that, man. But glad you've got a new black one!

Long story short, swerved to avoid somebody who cut me off on highway, avoided collision with anyone but careened off the concrete barrier. Body damage looked workable, but I managed to rip the front axle apart and twist the frame in the rear, so... TOTALED. Baseline dynos and mods to come... first thing I need to do is tint and oil change :p I'll have a few left over items from the old zed for sale soon too :D |
Welcome to the dark side. :)
|
Yikes. Poor Z.
|
Wowzers, glad to see it worked out in the end!
|
Ouch
|
At first, I was like :(. Then I was like :). Glad to see you stayed in the Z!
|
Terrible and awesome all in the same post :)

Glad you're alright, Jordo. Nice new Z.:driving: |
Thanks, gents
Will be doing a few things a bit differently. Probably going with PPE headers instead of TP's and spending money (eventually) on stickier tires rather than different wheels. That new intake project I had mentioned in other threads is still on, but moving slowly, so eventually that. Also planning on koni's + swifts and a few other suspension mods that I have been accumulating... I'll share details as things get done for those who may be interested. First thing I need to do, other than tune the shift speed and throttle response is get a baseline -- back to stock for the moment. |
Glad it worked out, and glad you're okay!
|
Ouch. Glad it worked out, congrats!
|
Dang sorry! At least you got another one!
|
Glad you're OK. Congrats on the replacement though
|
That sucks man, but glad to hear you're ok. Now you get to go through the modding addiction all over again :icon17:

Glad you're OK and back in a Z  |
Thanks for the well wishes, guys -- much appreciated :tiphat:

Oh, and if anyone was wondering, it's actually a line from an old Slits song -- it fits  |
Glad you are ok and back in a Z!

People drive like sh!t hope the new Z treats you well:driving: |
glad to hear you are alright after the wreck.
Nice color for a new Z. shamless plug: if you're interested in picking up a lightly used oem nismo exhaust, hit me up. |

Might be selling my EVO-R cf license plate garnish, and local would be preferred. Set of OEM cats. That's about it ATM. Quote:

Some new (crappy phone) pics -- tinted, body matched solar wing II, shiny EVO-R emblems, swift spec R springs, Koni yellows, and spacers (20 mm F, 25 mm R)

Baseline dyno on Saturday and then on to the power-ups :D |
Looking good!
|
Dang Jordan!
Glad to see you're back up and running though. Car looks great with the few things that have been done already. Looks like you'll be getting in touch with Martin soon. :D |
That was quick!

Oh, neglected to mention this but also picked up a 4-point ladder brace and Nismo sways (the latter was plenty of bar for me before, and a legitimate upgrade from stock), Project Mu HC+ brake pads (they rock!) and a set of SS brake lines from Z1. PPE headers and (in all probability Nismo take-off) cat back coming soon. Bellmouth SRT intakes coming eventually... will do the tried and true smooth tubes + K&N filters in the meantime  Lots of new dynos coming soon! |

How did the wheels holdup in the accident?
They look like they were bent but fixable, just curious... |

Just as well... they would have been lost with wreck. Quote:

I missed your red Z's fate until today. Sorry. Most pleased you took up another Z.
Good thing for those albums at the top of the site page or I'd have gone on ignorantly. |
