It doesn't effect my car. I've done this on my 350Z with no issues. I think the people that had issues is because they didn't vent the proper hoses. They just sealed them all off. I'll try to get pics today. Mostly you want to put a small crank case breather filter (from K&N) on the hose that goes to the gas tank. Other than that the system works the exact same in the EVAP was installed. The EVAP is a simple air/ fume filter. All I have done is removed it and the system still operates the same.

DIY: EVAP Removal

a BIG note on this .

7AT owner should NOT do this ,
The 7AT/ECU require the EVAP setup to function properly, it might sound weird but it does and you will break the tranny over time

even if you have Uprev, 7AT owner must keep the sensors/EVAP in place.
I had a big talk on this subject about 2-3 years ago with Jared @ Uprev, when I did this Mod.

Glad you brought that up. I vaguely remember reading that.

K&N Filter goes to gas tank line

Capped off line goes to the front of the car to manifold.

Any details on that? I'm trying to imagine what the connection would be between the two, and drawing a blank. 7AT uses a vacuum line that's connected to the EVAP system running down the body or something? Can't be that, that would be easy to fix.

Awesome... Have you removed the breather lines that connect the intake and that go to the valve cover?

Because the two you capped and added a filter to I believe can be completely removed!

None of these lines go to the valve cover or the intake. Only the line I capped off goes to the EVAP sensor and then that is connected to the manifold (which could be the intake system). I've removed all of that too. The sensor, vaccum lines (rubber and hard lines), and capped the manifold ports. If you look behind the manifold there is a series of two hard lines. One is vaccum and the other was for the throttle bodies coolant passage in which I deleted that also.

I just haven't got to removing the line capped off cause it routes under the car in all direction and I didn't want to fool with it yet. So far as the line that is filtered I was under the assumption it has to be there for the tank to work proper and vent it's self. Such as for the flapper when filling and for when it's hot it releases pressure in the tank. I see what your saying though about not needing the filter and line would serve the same purpose but by adding a filter (and leaving the line intact) in the location as I did it directs the fumes to the rear of the car where the air will pull them out.
