SPOHN'S Journal II Track Demon Reborn

Spohn, can you get a picture for us once you get your belt installed? I'm sorta confused on how to re-route the belt without the A/C compressor.

Yes I will. I ordered it today. One of the smooth pulley and one of the groved pulley comes off. Both in the middle of the block you see in the pic.

Is it easy (easier?) to get the manifolds off with the radiator and support out of the car? I need to remove mine and wrap them...

Do you have more photos of the disassembly process you followed to get to the point pictured as well as what parts are needed for the delete? (Exactly which belts/pulleys etc?)

Thanks man!

I'll get more pics by the end of the week. I keep my car at my dads house cause that's where all our tools are. But it's really simple. Once the bumpers and crash beam are off its mostly just bolts to remove the shroud. Course you have harness to unclip, hood latches, and the horns. Seems like a lot but it's not bad at all.

The belt you need is Dayco part number 5070500. Will have to order from Advance Auto. They do not stock this nor does any other company offer that size we could find. But I'll get you more pics. I just so into working that I don't stop. But yes taking the shroud off makes gettin the headers off and on a hole lot easier.

Cool, from the photos it looks so open that, especially with the compressor out of the way, I could potentially wrap them while they're still on the car.

Thanks again and looking forward to the photos!

Just ordered the headers and TP's for my car from Z1.

Because I have to use 350Z Test Pipes in order for the headers to work my GTM TP's will be going up for sell if anyone wants to buy.

Default Momentum Headers, Z1 Test Pipes, AC Delete

Now I'm starting to get things done. Last weekend I started on removing the AC and then after seeing my buddy Mike go for Momentum headers and gaining 30+whp and losing 16lbs from the headers alone I was all in. I couldn't order fast enough. So come today I got the new headers and test pipes on. Will be picking up a CSF radiator this week and then car will go for a alignment and tune to get this baby back to life. I haven't enjoyed this car in two months.

I'd also like to thank the love of my life for helping me all day. I really think she's hooked now.

Radiator core support off. Makes getting the AC and exhaust manifold off a breeze.

AC removed

Compare the pic above to see what two pullies I removed.

Momentum Headers

And my sexy woman working on my car. Nice butt too!
