I just removed the cable for now. I'm still looking into it. I know when I was hacking at the door I locked it some how after the cable was removed and had to use the key to open. So yes there are some concerns for it locking at the moment. I'll probably remove the hole mechanism and remove/ cut the actual locking device.

One thing I wish I had done differently on my rear window... black out those trim pieces before you drop in the lexan... and black out the lexan where it sits over the trim pieces |

Also if you're running w/o passenger seat, might consider shortening that battery cable and mounting it at the aft end of passenger area. Gets the battery about 10 inches lower as well.
