Air cups are for temporarily raising the vehicle when you approach an obstacle you need to drive over, like a speed bump or pulling in and out of a driveway.
The coil overs are installed at the desired ride hight and are not affected by the air cups when not in use.

I just opened the box today... Unfortunately I've only had time to drool over them. I'm not sure if I'll get them on before spring. Quote:
I found a set lightly used and got a deep discount on them. I paid less than half the cost for the set used. That said Phantom sells a set new for $2,800 I believe. The worst part of the install is running the air line. Quote:
What he said!!

Thats a good idea... maybe I need to look at getting some cups. Nice. Your welcome to come down here and I will help u put them on. Pretty easy so far. Im about halfway done. The air lines and stuff is another task but im guessing reasonable.

As promised, here's what I'm thinking for the tank and compressor layout. The tank that came with the set only accepts plastic air line, so I ran that through some aluminum hard line to make it look a little cleaner. I wanted to make it with a few more bends but I couldn't get it to work. I'm thinking I'll have the tank painted purple to add to that look in the interior. You can also see how I did the GT Spec strut bar through the OEM plastics. I need to sand the cuts down and get some grommets to clean it up, but I like the look over cutting everything up.

The tank is too big to fit under the strut bar and I thought it would be an eye soar sitting in the middle of the trunk.

Do you have the Bose sub back there? If so I'm wondering how much that ply wood muffles sound back there?

I do, and that's a great question. I'll test it out today and let you know.
