As far as the headlights, you might want to do satin black on the housing and 40th quartz on the shrouds to match the color of the car. Let me know if you want pictures to see how that'll look since the color of my car is close to the 40th anniversary color, but not quite.

I'm going for something like this for the headlights. I just think it looks so clean.

Just received this picture from Mike. Can't wait to put them on

I'm dropping the headlights, handles and side markers off Friday morning. I'm thinking I'm gonna go with body color, if I don't like it I can always go to black.

For those who split their headlights, did you clean the inside of the plastic casing before you put them back together?

Calipers came out great!

Body colored handles I feel always compliment the car and make it look a bit more streamlined, keep up the good work

Yes, you should definitely wipe them down with a lint free cloth. Nothing sucks more than sealing it back up only to find a stray fingerprint, or dust, etc. :shakes head:

What about using glass cleaner? Is that a bad idea?

i would stay clear of glass cleaner since it might do that rainbow effect when the sun hits it...

calipers look ridiculous :D i love them....

Negative. Although it may seem like a lot I really want to keep the purple accents to a minimum. I think I'm gonna go all 40th quartz with matte black reflectors.

I guess that makes sense. If u ever decide to change the purple, which u have changed it a few times already:tup:, at least u wont need to re-open those headlights

Wiggins3377's 40th Anniversary Z

Received my GT Spec 4 point rear strut bar yesterday from RavSpec yesterday. Gotta say at first glance I'm impressed with the quality. I know I'm not the first on the forum to get one of these, but I'm hoping to install it this weekend (it may be tough with the holiday). My plan is to follow the DYI on the forum, but make the final product a little cleaner. I'll post my own write up when I'm all done. I'm also planning to paint everything once the test fit is done, that said I'm thinking I'll go with 40th Quartz. However that brings up a new issue, I've been able to find an Top Secret rear brace bar cover and I want to buy it over the Amuse one, but I'm concerned there will be a lot of color going on in my interior. To out it lightly the TS brace cover is "out there" (I've attached pics below). If I end up getting it, with the backs on my Brides, the gt spec strut bar quartz and the my soon to be air tank painted Quartz (at least that's what I'm thinking), do you think it'll be to much?

Oh and on top of all that I found my Luke Harnesses, those will be purple.

those are SWEET! can't wait to hear how they ride. Personally, I would powdercoat those in the 40th quartz. Especially, since they are under the car. Powder would be much tougher and hold up better than paint

They are inside the car.

Oh geez! sorry. Yeah....I'd paint those. you won't get powder to match perfect. It's close enough for under the car or under the hood. But the 40th quartz is a b!tch to match.
