I got weighed at VIR, 3000 empty.
On my way to Z1 yesterday, pic taken by another Zatlanta member. I was getting a lot of RPM slippage coming out of the turns when I got on the gas. Z1 replaced my clutch, CSC and pressure plate at the track Saturday night, but it didn't help. Think its the diff. Changing the fluid for a first step, but the Quaife is a gear diff, not a clutch plate diff, so we don't know if it will help or not. Find out at Roebling in 2 weeks.

When my motor goes back in ill be weighing mine since it needs to be corner balanced again. Course the TT kit adds 120. Bit Ive done a lot of shaving in the motor area.

That is awesome. I think weight reduction has to be my favorite mod. :P Having run my 370 at 3430lbs (me and a 3/4 tank of fuel) and switching to the 350 (me and ~1/2 tank) at 3080lbs I'm finding myself a surprising amount faster with less power and less suspension! Can't wait to get a set of race tires.

you've taken out a lot more than me, but that extra 120 pounds will cost you, I'm guessing 2950 empty for you.

Not the Z, but some mods to the Nissan Racing Support Vehicle, aka Cayenne Diesel.
Had all the stainless trim and textured black plastic smoothed and painted body color, and the badges removed.

On another note, I think I have outgrown my Quaife LSD. With Hoosier A6s, I'm getting lots of traction loss accelerating out of corners. With the helical gear diffs, they cut power if one wheel looses traction apparently, and its very annoying. I softened my rear sway and that helped quite a bit, but I think a clutch type is in the future.
The sad thing is, I thought it was the clutch, so I had it replaced when I didn't really need to. Did get a bitchin new Z1 upgraded pressure plate and a new CSC, which was probably due soon anyways though.

yea helical are great when you are on the ground all the time, if you hit curbing and get air or even a bit light, they go open. clutch type do not. Nismo is, i believe, the best way to go for clutch type diff's, just be aware you are going to need some serious cooling for it and regular changes with expensive fluid. helical diff's don't give a crap about the fluid. i know Kleeman has run wavetrack's and several other clutch type diff's and i think the Nismo is the best he's come across so far. he traded a quaife diff with Russ Rana for his nismo diff a while back.

tired of missing track days due to rain. Looks like rain is possible for Znats so I ordered my rain setup from tire rack today. It will be here tomorrow.
18x8.5 Enkei Raijin wheels and 245/40-18 RE11As. My Tire Rack rep said they had the best wet performance in their testing. Also, added this sticker I made today to my truck.
