sound clips:
I just installed the new Invidia Prototype exhaust, (Gemini) and I have Berk Test pipes.

With the stock exhauset the berks had some rasp. With the new exhaust, no rasp at all! These are iphone recordings. first from outside at idle and revving to what the car would let us, then a couple accelerating 0-80, windows up and down.

Overall, its an awesome sounding exhaust and not overly loud.

Glad you like them mike. I'm really surprised how good it sounds and how not overly loud they are even with test pipes.

YouTube - idle exhaust

I'm not sure if I have the same definition as rasp because I still hear that hiss at the end of a rev which is what I consider rasp..

Its got a tiny bit there in the idle clip, but thats with no load on the engine, (especially compared to test pipes only). In the car on the street there is none, and revving at idle is something I only did for the example video, not a regular thing.

That hiss is common once you have any HFC/TEST PIPE, that only occurs on deceleration. So far, all of the HFC and TEST PIPES we've installed has that mysterious HISS

Lou i installed FI test pipes on my car and i have the FI catback with no resonators. I hear the hiss in the cabbin even at full throttle lol. ive never heard that on any of the cars ive had except when there was an exhaust leak but i dont feel any leaks when i put my hand up to the exhaust.

I got the undertray off this morning, bumper and fender are next.

I found that one of the lines slipped off of one of the socketless aeroquip connectors, and the other one is back a little bit. I don't understand how that could happen, as when I made the kit, I had cut a hose a little too short, and could not pull the connector out. The only way to get it out was to cut the hose. Anyway, I guess I will be getting some hose clamps today and double sealing them.

I guess I can take some small comfort in the fact that I went off before the engine had a chance to blow, and that it wasn't something stupid like not tightening the oil filter or reconnecting the fittings to the sandwich plate properly last oil change, which is what I feared.
