That's cool running those brake coolers. Let us know how they work out.
|
thanks!

car is at Z1 now.
getting quaife atb installed, GTM diff cooler installed and replacing my invidia rear mufflers with glasspacks so the cooler has a place to mount. |
Z1 installed my GTM Diff cooler and Quaife ATB, and we replaced the muffler section of the Invidia Gemini with glass packs to make room for the cooler.

Super nice Mike. LSD is going to be your next love. Car sounds beautiful.

Not the Z, its away at Z1 getting the rear gears fixed.
I only have the car on a two year lease, so mods are going to be minimal and resellable. I go through cars quickly.
It wasn't an easy round of mods. First, I ordered a two tone wheel from Tire Rack, same wheel as what I went with, but with their recommended 255 tires. The tires were narrower than the wheel and didn't look right, and I didn't like the two tone. Sent them back and reordered these. 2nd, one of the front Brembo brakes that I ordered from the dealer was apparently dropped in shipment and the hole that the banjo bolt goes in was flattened out, so I had to get a replacement. I noticed this after I had the brakes stripped off the car, so it added two days to the process. In the end, I think it was worth it. First round, Brembo front caliper upgrade, custom powdercoated by me (I do this professionally, don't try at home!). Sport Muscle 20x10" wheels Sumitomo 275/35-20 tires BMR Panhard bar H&R springs. the only other thing I'm going to do to it is Corsa axle-back.[/img] http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/8739/img0371ha.jpg http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/4416/img0372wl.jpg http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/866/img0373e.jpg http://img535.imageshack.us/img535/3324/img0375gr.jpg http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/8408/img0374af.jpg |

Nice Mike!

Long time since I've really done anything.
Took the interior out today. Don't know when the cage will go in, but I'm ready for it now. Also all prepped to install the CJM fuel starve fix. Hopefully I will get it finished in the next week or so. Probably between the 4th and 7th, the next stretch that I am home. http://img854.imageshack.us/img854/6707/racecar.jpg http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/9507/racecar2.jpg The inside of the fuel tank http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/7533/fueltank.jpg |

If you're planning on turning this into a TTA car, save yourself a few points and learn from my mistake - leave the OEM cross members in the back as they are and build around it... and make the roll cage a zero points affair |
One thing to take into account that I learnt this weekend is that the floor gets insanely hot towards the end of a run session, I actually melted a passenger shoe! The driver's side gets hot as well but you don't notice it quite as much. Some kind of heat shield/spacer is a good idea.
|
^ I have an alum plate running across where my heels go - it sits about 3/4" off the OE floor and is about 14" x 8" x 3/4"... makes it easier to work the pedals and controls heat
|
thanks guys! I thought about leaving the carpet right across the bottom from where the pedal is. Maybe I should cut it and put it back in?
Travis, When I consult with Sharif, I will mention the cross members. I have no clue what class I would be in, but I definitely want to do some competition. |
Phunk's fuel system fix came in today. Hopefully I will install it on saturday.
Also, I ordered Sparco EVO2 seats, harnesses and steering wheel from Forged today, gonna install the pass. seat and steering wheel myself, then drop the car off to get the drivers seat installed in a fixed solid position and have the rear cage made (Spohn style). Then I will decide on full cage over the winter. |
Talk about getting it done.
|
awesome to see another car going full track setup!
|
CJM Fuel starvation solution installed. Drove a 290 degree cloverleaf at greater than 5000 rpm in third gear and accelerated down the straight, with only 1/4 tank, and the car didn't stumble at all!
Track testing to come at the end of the month. http://img842.imageshack.us/img842/4332/img0496zr.jpg Also, these goodies came in: http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/7223/img0497p.jpg http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/7530/img0498xf.jpg |
nice Mike. nice
|
nice updates
|
car going to Forged by the end of the week for the cage
|
Nice seat
|
I should have taken a picture, but I picked up the welded cage assembly and brought it to the bodyshop for paint today. Hopefully I will get it back to Forged by midweek and have the car back by the weekend.
Seats probably won't get installed until after Znats, the base mounts are on backorder and custom fabrication is too pricey for me. |
|
Swweeeeeeeeeeet!!! What are you doing next that I don't know? Lol
|
Pretty, Mike!

Between the mishap at VIR and then my airline parking lot adding speed humps that the car couldn't clear any more, I decided to go all out with it. |
Great Job on it, love black and orange. Always reminds me of a gt3 rs.
