btw, Momentum is no longer in business, but Z1 is developing their own version of this header, specifically for the 370. They should have a package available soon.

very nice mike, ur car sounded amazing at znats! these headers are very intriguing.... what kind of gains do u think u got from getting rid of the old exhaust and going with the straight exhaust with glass packs?

you know, I'm not sure. I never dyno'd it, the exhaust change was made purely to accomodate the diff cooler and was at the time, planned only as an intermediate fix. But now, I don't want to change anything else! although I may add another pair of glasspacks inline somewhere to quiet it a tiny bit more.

Back from the bodyshop, touching up the paint around the cage, and today finished installing my new seats and gutting the doors, making the windows easily removable for trailering, but glass comes out for track use.
passenger seat driver seat Passenger door Modified rear channel roll cage from trunk

First, I removed the door glass and inner moulding at the top of the door.
I then removed the regulator mechanism, and drilled a small hole and inserted a screw into the regulator arms to hold the window holders in their full up position. I cut the rear one down, but left the forward one full length. The arms are only secured by one bolt on top, and can move to and fro. To secure them so the glass is fixed in the proper place while installed, on the front one, I used an existing stud on the arm, a metal strap and a hole where the speakers mount to locate the bottom of the arm in the proper position. On the rear arm, I cut it down smaller and used a strap to locate it in place along with an existing bolt hole in the door.

still need to secure the door opening pulls and route the trunk opening cord out to the license plate area.

Looks good. You can attach something to the little nubs on the door openers to make it easier to grab/pull... important when car on fire... I used a metal piece that eventually started wearing into the paint on my door roll bar, so you might think about using hardened rubber or plastic pieces
like your idea for trunk popper - stick it out the former license plate area... just removed mine entirely and using spring straps, but the oem pieces don't weigh too much so i might consider retaining and doing what you're planning on if i could do it over again |

I was thinking of some kind of loop on the end to pull with

I was thinking of looking at some bike parts...
A brake lever (super light for racing bicycles) could be adapted to function as a super light door handle, I think. |
