Custom sub-frame bracket
As a few already knows, about what my intent was with my custom exhaust. Its to have a single exit and I mentioned that I would have to make a bracket that would be similar to the 350z .
After some thought, I made something else that would do the same and less work. This will still allow me to have enough clearance for the straight thru muffler ! this is the final product, the baby blue is only what I could find a while ago ;( Edit; the two outer nuts are only a spacer welded to the square tubing since I didn't had a shorter bolts there is the same threaded hole into the frame where the 350z bracket would go. then the 2 center one has an actual bolt welded with a slightly bigger nut also welded to act as a spacer. Once installed, does anybody can see what happen ? hehe Custom Sub-frame bracket had to be made for the future exhaust ! You see the idea behind this ? I wanted to do this and have it exit the fog light space in my Amuse bumper but I couldn't find someone to make a nice finisher for the exhaust.
Good job, looking forward to seeing the project finished.

OMG,
you guys will love the noise coming out from my 3.5'' single exit exhaust !!!! Video later on tonight or tomorrow. On the bad news, while welding up the mid-pipe 6 of 8 welding tacks broke which mean I'm gonna have to add a 3-5deg bent somewhere this weekend and finishing up the last exhaust bracket. then im gonna have to make a new tune ! its running a lot leaner now ! it was about 14.0-14.2 at idle now its around 15.0 then up to the mid/high 16 at cruising & slightly faster speed mostly where it was pretty much spot on at 14.7 until 2500-3000rpm so the Y-Pipe combined with the header does seem to flow a lot more ! The video didn't turn out that great with the GoPro but still sound awesome in real life !!! It can be very loud at WOT and quiet at cruising speed. On this video the mods the Z has are those ; -Modified Momentum Header -Custom Modular Y-Pipe (Currently 2x 2.5''resonator installed) -Custom 3.5'' Mid-Pipe with 3.5'' Resonator -3.5''In/Out Muffler No CAI or some sort but only OEM intake since my previous custom one does not fit anymore due to some modification that was done. |

Thanks
Yeah that was the first recorded pull after correcting the AFR. it still need some tweaking from 2000-4500rpm since it drop too fast into the 12.xx at like 2500-3000rpm the last pull into the video is from 1500rpm to 7400rpm Using the 4th gear with the 3.5FD diff @ WOT |
