You seem to have a bit of a language barrier so for that I forgive you, however just because I said it looks ridiculous doesn't mean that I don't understand why it is on there. I was just stating that it looked ridiculous. Awesome project thought. Really cool.

the top base of the piston looked to be the same height. I would say the CR should remain pretty much the same as the VHR engine... the VHR piston are more flat with 2 valve relief the HR piston have a bit of a dome with 4 valve relief my guesstimate would be 10.8:1 unless a known engine builder correct me on this ! |

I just find those kind of comment a bit useless for a track car built progress who care if it look ridiculous or too big for the car ? ,, if you have the power its never too big !!! as long as it work the way it is intended the rest is only a bonus. trust me if I had some big pocket, things would be different. |

I spend the morning doing some port match on the intake runner / lower intake manifold
With all the time spent on this , I hope the result will be worth it !! this picture is to show the unmodified intake runner you can also see a little bit the lower part of the intake manifold arent alligned perfectly with the actual intake runner do I need to explain how bad this is ? I hope those Nissan engineer didnt do this on purpose !. after some dremel work ! This VHR intake manifold, you guys will see it back sometimes next year ! Its still under construction but not a priority right now. |

I checked out your dyno sheets that you posted and you gained 7hp from just boring out your TB's correct? Or was that combined with your ported manifold? My question is what other mods did you have on the car when you had it dynoed with JUST the ported TB's. I would just like to know the gains of those without any other mods. Also, is there any better throttle response from doing that, that you have noticed? Thanks for your replies

Custom straight flow exhaust w/ Xpipe PPE step header custom CAI (similar to the stillen V3) but it was also seen when I had the stillen shorty + test pipe over a year ago. the gain has been seen on both intake manifold my first attemp to port the HR manifold was only to smooth the edge of inside the intake runner when they glue the base to the intake manifold. the VHR was modified yesterday. as far as throttle response , my answer would be it was unchanged. |

I havent done much today but I decided to go check the blown VHR head and its VVEL cams.
then the last picture show the VHR Vs HR valve spring and size. pictures are worth a thousand words. look at the far left VVEL cam and finger,, then compare it to the 2 others .. you will see what is missing or broken ... I couldnt find anything related to it , which mean it was totally disintegrated VHR Vs HR spring & size. |
