Those ITB come from Fuel Injection Throttle Bodies and Induction Systems from Jenvey Dynamics - Jenvey Dynamics They were slightly modified for the HR head since he had them for his previous non-Rev VQ. Dont ask question what was modified since I never asked him. Look up his Website at OnPoint Dyno most details is on there !! He is running his ITB with MOTEC if you want to know quickly whats he is running it with. he currently setting up a drysump on his Z and there was some testing done after I made this post and If i remember correctly he ended at 414whp There is quite a bit more to be gained but need a different exhaust setup since he maxed what was already made for a C9/C10 JWT Cam Edit : that 414whp im saying is WITHOUT the drysump setup ! So your buddy is running an HR head swap and ITB's and broke 400whp? What else is he running? I've been thinking of going down the ITB rout but havent seen anyone successfully do it on our car. This is VERY interesting...

-ITB -Motec ECU -3.5'' Exhaust setup - his own custom long tube step header (SG header previously now OnpointDyno) he sold several of them on the 350z forum. There is more power to be found but he had a clutch assembly break down last night. THere is rumor that the race team using this setup got up to 440whp. but for this, you must use a drysump . and other secret stuff. My project for 2013/2014 is that same exact engine setup minus ITB/drysump so im gessing 380whp should be a good guess. |

What an amazing thread, You're the man!!! don't know why I never got around to reading it. Just picked up a spare HR for me to mess with since my HR is up there in mileage, granted its running like a champ but it doesn't hurt to have a long block on hand, esp with only 5k miles on it lol
![]() My plan is to go with the 3.7 crank, stock size HR rods and pistons to pretty much just strengthen the internals possibly for boost. O and of course cams and headwork too to let her breathe. We've talked on My350 before in regards to bigger TBs, Now since I have one to play with the more I look at the stock intake manifold I highly doubt 2 75mm Maxima TBs will fit lol so I was thinking about using the R35 Intake manifold, what's your take on this? Also,I could've sworn I read that OnPoints VQ37HR went with OEM HR rods since they're longer than VHR according to this article. Summer Is Ending – Kels, Dyno’s And California : OnPoint Dyno |

I just wish I had some better tooling to make it easier and faster to make. I'm sure some guys would be interested to pull the trigger on this. .... |

I'm wondering if anybody would be seriously interested into my custom exhaust.
![]() ![]() ![]() the kit include the whole exhaust setup which include - Modified Momentum headers (not the z1 copy) - Custom Y-Pipe 2.5'' paired to a transition & megaphone to 3.5'' single exit. - Custom 3.5'' mid pipe with a 18'' resonator. - Custom Muffler section 3.5'' in & out. - 2x HFC (y-pipe) - 2x Resonator (y-pipe) - Custom rear holding bracket (with bolts) - All mandrel bent 304SS tubing. - TIG Welded and Back-Purged for improved stronger welds. - Equipped with modified V-bands to reduce turbulence. - No gasket required. - Much improved scavenging effect due to the both transition and megaphone *Header & Y-Pipe* which mean more power ! - With the benefit of V-Band the swap of those parts can be done in 10 mins ! You will need to remove the rear bracing tower shown in the bottom Red square ![]() then install the provided *blue* rear holding bracket the 2 holding bolts goes into the already installed welded nut into the frame. and you will lose the 2 braces going to the front bolts of the sub-frame. IMO they arent crucial to the rear stability since the 350z does not have it and have the same sub-frame setup. ![]() Ofcourse you will need to remove the rear fog light and slightly cut a circle in it .... ![]() you will have an improved ground clearance since everything was installed to be as close as possible to the frame. as a bonus half of the exhaust were heat wraped with DEI titanium (100feets of it) serious offer only please. Sorry I do not have a VQ37VHR (VVEL) dyno. since I have the HR heads. IMO this is the best ALL-OUT exhaust setup on the 370z. If the following parts are installed - Stillen Gen 3 CAI - VHR intake manifold (with intake runner smoothed out) - my custom Throttle body - Uprev / EcuTek I predict it will outperform the Z1 setup that had a result of 342whp with one of our 370z member on their dynojet. edit; My guess is by over 10whp from what I already gained previously from stock to fully modded 256whp to 324whp = 68whp of gain with my previous less optimized exhaust & HR intake manifold when Z1 only got a gain from stock to fully modded including their secret mod to 61whp of gain ( from 280 to 341 ) Why am I selling ? Going another route. and no im not selling the Z Last edited by Megan370z; 12-04-2013 at 03:10 PM. |
