where are your faces?
 

i noticed that absolutely nobody on this forum has their ow picture as an avatar, or even in an album that i have seen. not even posing with their car. what gives? tell you what. show me yours, and i'll show you mine lol. i wont have my computer until monday, so dont expect a quick reply. (if anybody even posts pics at all). it would be cool to see you and anyone else in your family, makes the forum experience seem more friendly and personal. props to Bri7Synyster for being the only person to show her face that i have seen!:pics:

This isn't a social networking site. We don't all need to know each other's real names or photographic likeness and all that jazz. I prefer to have privacy and see creativity displayed in people's avatar choices.

Also, there is an old thread for this already, buried in off-topic.

yea i figured thats about what i would get. but why be "anti-social"? there is a lot more to this site than just the Z, obviously. its not your average forum full of d-bag trollers. i just think its nice to be able to put a face with the name.

I am one of the few who does this.

Then go to a Z meet.

You shouldn't place expectations on the community to sacrifice their privacy or security just so you can tell if the carpet matches the drapes.

I'm not anti-social, I'm simply more "internet aware" than you.



edit: It's like when someone asked why we don't keep a list of real names to go with user names. Because we're not all friends here. It's nunya business, you nosy kids.

;)well considering you know everything about me, obviously, you dont have to participate. its ironic that people concerned with privacy have their liscense plates, hometown, dealership they purchased the car from, and other intricate details and photos available to random browsers, which is more than enough for the average criminal to do some leg work and find out where you live and possibly target you for identity theft. in perspective, a picture alone can be almost totally useless to the same theif without high tech, high price government issue computer software. doesnt matter, i knew this thread would fail. what a paranoid society we have become.:icon14:
