Default The EXPENSIVE 370Z Build - Brembo, HRE, JIC, Stillen

Thought I would stop by this forum and show off this 370Z we did for a customer. Recently, he picked up this 370Z to have as a daily driver to race around town and at the track. To make sure this 370Z was the best possible, he insisted on the best in handling, braking, and rollers. First thing first was to add power performance by Stillen. The customer picked up the Stillen Generation 2 Long Tube Cold Air Intake Kit. To provide a better sound and help the exhaust flow, we then added Stillen's dual exhaust system and matched them with Stillen's high flow cat system and performance headers for a COMPLETE exhaust. To keep oil temperatures down, we geared him up with the new Agency Power oil cooler kit. This oil cooler comes with complete steel braided lines, AN fittings, cooler, and a sandwhich block adapter for easy installation.

Now when it comes to handling, we usually like to use JIC Coilovers. We hooked up this car with the first set of JIC FL-TAR coilovers. The 16 way adjustable coilovers feature monotube shock absorbers and adjustable ride height. To keep a balanced vehicle, the car was equipped with the Hotchkis front and rear sway bar set. With great power and handling, braking is an important factory that must be upgraded. Brembo brake systemsare recommended for those serious about stopping. With more cars running Brembo in professional motorsports then any other company, there is a reason they choose Brembo. The 6piston monoblock caliper is extremely rigid for a stiff and precise pedal feel and modularity. The 2 piece floating rotors are 380mm (15inch) and are drilled with red calipers. Combined with steel braided brake lines and Brembo's aggressive street brake pads, this 370Z now stops on a dime.

Finally we got this car the best in performance wheels. HRE Wheels makes the monoblock wheel for many different vehicles such as BMW, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and more. More recently they have become popular with the Nissan GT-R crowd. As a 1piece forged wheel, the front weighs only 21lbs where the rear is 23.5lbs. We wrapped these flat black babies in some Yokohama Advan sport tires featuring a 255 in the front and 285 in the rear.

This car is far from completed with more craziness on the horizon.

Very nicely done. Those brakes are amazing.

Curious what the braking distance is now. The sports package is already impressive.... or is more about brake fade than stopping distance for this set up?

wheels look IDENTICAL to the forgestar f-14, and similar weight as well. (minus about 3k...). car looks nice. why did you chose that intake? G3 is only a few bucks more, and make significantly more power.

Looks good. You might have to remove the links though, seeing that they link to products that you sell and you are not a sponser. But that's up to AK of course.

Yeah looks alright. Everyone and their mothers has those brakes. Wheels are nice, but It could have been more exotic. Should have gotten the CAI's. Also, holy wheel gap with coilovers batman.

Not nit picking, I just would have done things differently with that much mullah.

Exactly...to have gone with those wheels I would have gone super custom (since you can with HRE's).

Vivid - where is my spotlight
