Hey Huck! Glad to see your Z is coming along nicely!!! I thought I was done with my Z but I keep itching to get the LTH. Since we had the same CBE and CAI I was wondering if you could tell me if the LTH increased cabin noise at all. I don't want the cabin noise any louder than it is, it is liveable now but I want to be able to hold a conversation without yelling at my passenger. Thanks in advance for the info! And keep up the good work!

I'm sorry I just now saw this, I haven't looked at this thread in a while since I haven't been modding the car much. To answer your question: yes, the LTH will increase your cabin noise by a fair amount. I'm non resonated, so I don't know what you're running, but with mine being a daily driver it was a tad too loud for me, and I like it loud! It was kinda hard to hold a conversation when I was at 2300-2500 rpm, and forget about using the bluetooth on my cd player for a phone conversation. I installed the GTmat which helped a fair amount and brought it down to a more livable level. I will be ordering more from them in the near future.
Finally, if you're ever in the Merritt Island/Cocoa Beach area, you're more than welcome to come check it out in person!

Thanks man, I appreciate it! Your's is also looking pretty smexy! I can't decide what I want to do next. I might have a line on some new wheels that I could turn over for a profit, or should I save some money and go with some Swift springs, or should I go for a front lip? Decisions, decisions...

 love it bro!

Z-Girl 12 11-19-2012 12:29 PM

Thanks Huck! I think I'll leave the setup as is...talking on my bluetooth thru nav is almost impossible too.

Huck 11-21-2012 02:04 PM

I don't know how the stock nav is closet up, I've never used one, but my head unit has an external mic that's sitting right underneath my rear view mirror. When I had just the exhaust it wasn't a problem at all. I would say that my headers just about doubled the volume inside the cabin.

Well I finally got to buy my Swifts and install them. The install wasn't too bad, compressing the Swifts was a PITA but other than that it's pretty straight forward. While I was wrenching on the strut nuts in the engine bay my swivel bit and socket came off and fell down in the depths of the motor somewhere. I searched for like 20 minutes to no avail, that shyte is gone. :icon14: Anyway, the car handles like a champ now and feels a lot smoother over all. Here's a few pics of the drop after a few days, I might have another 1/4" before the springs completely settle. We'll see...

Now I'm trying to decide what to do about wheels, do I buy tires and mount the ones that I have? Or do I continue trying to sell the ones I have so that I can afford the ones that I'm in love with, the Avant Garde M368's? Decisions decisions...

Looks great man! Which wheels do you have now?

Thanks Blades, I've got 20" 5AD S5:F wheels right now. I like them but I don't LOVE them.

If the cost difference isn't much, I'd go with the ones you actually like.

I just got a GoPro Hero 2 brand new for $200, so I'm waiting on the memory card that I ordered off of Amazon.com to get here, then I'll start taking vids with that. Anyway, here it is!

Well the problem is I could spend some money on tires and mount the ones I have, then sell my stock wheels and make most of the money back, or I could spend more money than I should and buy the wheels and tires that I really want. The wheels aren't that expensive, around $1500 for 20's. But a wheel and tire package will be somewhere around $2700ish. I should be responsible and not spend that much, but...

They're sexy as hell.

Thanks man, I did a lot of reading about Eibachs and Teins and a few others, and Swifts were the only ones that I haven't read a single bad thing about. If I get something I like to save up and get the best one, that's why I went with Fast Intentions, and I got the LTH combo instead of test pipes, because I wanted the least restrictive flow possible. So far I'm in love with the Swifts :driving:

b1adesofcha0s 03-28-2013 05:06 PM

If you can make up most of the difference, then just go for the ones you like.

Jasonle 03-28-2013 07:02 PM

lookin good man! love the sound of that exhaust
