Jason's Fairlady Z34 Journal

Hello Everyone! :hello:

This is my first time posting here on the Member's Gallery! Ive been a ninja lurking in shadows for sometime now working on my Nissan 370/Fairlady Z. I'm currently working as a Visual Development Artist and College Instructor. I wanted to post up my specs so you guys could see my current set-up. I'm using the car for dual purposes. Daily Driver, and Weekend Track Car. See you at the Racetrack!

Hey GaleForce, thank you! I appreciate the kind message! You have a beautiful ride as well man! ;)

GaleForce 02-02-2012 01:07 PM

I see in your track photos you're using the stock wheels, are your Volks just for Daily Driving? or have you used them on the track too?

WWJD 02-02-2012 01:10 PM

NICE!!! Your car looks so mean!!! Finally your journal is up.

GaleForce-To answer your question, the Volk Wheels are a new mod. I'm having my stock wheels powder-coated in black at the moment. I am planning on using both sets at the Race Track. I want to see the weight difference from 19" Stocks to 19" G2's. I know they are 15 lbs lighter than stock!

Here are some photos from my Clutch Kit RPS/Specialty Z

The Clutch Kit incorporated the use of a Tilton racing slave. To achieve the proper release and ensure maximum clutch life the height of the flywheel and clutch pressure plates have been shortened. In doing so they have saved even more weight from their original version.

Max Street Kit shown installed on my NA VHR. You can see the two orangery stripes on the pressure plate and flywheel (balancing mark). They take the time to balance their assemblies for even more engine smoothness.

Specialty Z Kits include the segmented aluminum flywheel, clutch disc, pressure plate, racing CSC, pilot bushing, SS lines, and associated hardware.

The response is almost instantaneous.

Thanks buddy, I bought it from Seibon Carbon (replica mold of the OEM Nismo race car wing) It's for sale at the moment. I'm looking for something more aggressive for tracking. If your interested in buying it's $500.00 obo. :icon17:

Hey Supergoji, the Akebono's have been great thus far. So far Ive ran three different Brake Pads.. Stock, Project Mu, and Endless.

I find the endless pads the best under extreme conditions and don't go into ice mode. The project Mu's would go into ice mode, so I would have to compensate with doing a faint tap before heavy braking.. Just to make sure there is brake fluid in the lines.
