import111's 370Z
Been waiting to post in here until I got at least 1 mod on the car. Got the Z in Feb. I had an 05 STi that had quite a bit of mods done to it. The Z is quite a different car in a lot of ways. So far I am happy with my choice though. For the last couple of years I have been doing HPDE's about 4 times a year when it is cool enough outside. I plan to continue this with the 370Z. Here are pics and mods.
Mods: -BC BR series coilovers (10k/8k F/R spring rates) -Rear camber arms -Alignment: 0 toe all around, -1.4F -1.7R camber -Berk HFC's -Fast Intentions catback exhaust -Carbotech XP-10 F/R brake pads (track only) -Motul RBF600 brake fluid -Stillen "Race" oil cooler Last edited by import111; 10-17-2009 at 08:07 PM. |

nice car. Im coming from a evo, and I'm probably gonna get a z. How do you feel about the car compared to your STI? I had 426 awhp on my evo and im a little worried about dropping so much power.

Looking good Import!
Add a twin turbo and the engine will easily exceed 500whp (600 is possible with extra boost). With that much power though the car would be a beast and not nearly as much fun to drive. |

I had 275whp and 308wtrq on a mustang dyno on my STi. Since you had so much power in the Evo, a 370Z will feel a lot slower to you. My Z feels slower than my STi did. Other than power the Z is amazing though. Brakes and handling are right up there, if not better than the STi.

Looks good! Have you decided on which CBE you're going to get?

Awesome stance.... all you need now is an agressive offset wheel

Changing the strut settings in the rear you need to remove the plastic covers over the strut tops in the trunk. I am leaving mine out for good so I can easily adjust at the track. I plan on getting some more pics in a couple weeks. Hopefully they get some better pics than my dad took. Otherwise I will get some better ones some day. What seems a little odd with the BC coilovers is that the rear spring rate is softer than the front, the reverse of the stock setup. It will be interesting to see how this feels when you take it to the track.

What are the stock spring rates? I kept asking in another thread and no one knew. |
