...decided to install the Stillen Grounding Kit today. I got a red one to start spicing up the engine bay. Not sure if it is just me, but I think the directions rather sucked. The photos use are either a 350 or a G engine bay, so many of the locations are different. Several of the locations I had no idea what they wanted it bolted to. They label all the grounding points in the pictures as A through I in the instructions. I mainly guessed based on the cable length, and what could reach where. I did like the Nissan race car on the packaging though.

Install instructions from the Stillen web site: http://www.stillen.com/product_files/606358~inst.pdf

Location A was easy enough, to the negative battery terminal. The directions stated to put it on the bolt side of the connector, and attach using the provided hex nut. It was way too small, so I opted to take the shoulder bolt all the way off, and attach the wire to the head side, and then reconnect the shoulder bolt.

Location B was supposed to mount to a threaded hole somewhere, using the provided FHCS bolt. I could find no threaded hole that was close enough to the right location to make this work, so opted to mount B to the backside of the top bolt holding the power steering reservoir. The backside was metal to metal, the front side has a thick rubber washer on it.

Location C I could not find anything that looked like the install picture, so used the spot indicated in the picture below. Nothing caught on fire when I started her up, so I guess this spot is alright.

Location D, the lower ground point, was spot on. Only bummer was having to remove the upper radiator hose to get to it. Location E was also correct in the installation photo...all the way to Location F.

The last cable was easy from location G ... the spot for H had to remove the intake to get at the bolt. The last location, I, was also spot on.

Here it is all done...

I also learned not to accidentally knock a socket into the hole that the hood latches into. That was fun getting that out. By itself, as in the photos above, it does not look like much. But as I get done with things, I think overall it will add a nice touch.

... I had to modify the front part of the engine cover, so figured I would paint it red as long as I was messing around with it. Needed some clearance for the braided stainless lines I will be putting in shortly for the dual oil catch cans. The engine cover was not going to seat all the way unless I made some room. Plus I figured what is the point in putting in fancy looking stuff if you can't see most of it because a piece of plastic is in the way. So I whipped out the Dremel, and slowly cut it down over the last few days. Anyway, I like how it turned out.

Here was about my last test fit. Good visibility of both the left and right intake manifold breather hosing means I should be able to sneak some SS lines in there now with now worries about the engine cover seating all the way down.

Here it is after painting and put back on...

...finished up the fang air duct mod. Taking the bumper off was way easier than I thought. Getting it back on was more challenging, but I eventually persevered.

...mounted the plates and had the hoses all hooked up, except for the bottom...

...I wasn't sure how to hook up the bottoms. Hoses were not really long enough to do anything but put the bumper back on, and bend the lower cover out of the way to get my hands in there. Red looks kind if cool in there. At least I have functional cold air shooting up to the Typhoon's now.

Had to get a nice hand wash after all I put the car through this weekend. Also can see my front and rear emblems plasti dipped black. Pretty amazing stuff.

...I got my UR pulley set the other day. Damn that thing is smaller than I thought. Hoping to get them on soon and maybe I can top 330

...also got my spacers. 15MM front and 20MM for rear. Waiting on my coilovers to get here and put them all on at the same time.

FedEx dropped off some ARK stuff for me today ... hoping to get these knocked out the weekend of the 31st ... will do the spacers at the same time and then get an alignment knocked out right after.

...to celebrate the arrival of more goodies, I decided to head over to Hooter's to grab some lunch and admire some curves. Of the Z of course.

Braids likes this.

You got some nice numbers with your mods there. I have practically the same set up, but my M370 will probably result in lower top end results. Not to worry, I don't plan on driving around at 7800 + rpm. I'd rather have the good numbers in the range I'm driving in.

Thanks ! The F-4 was an incredible bird. I was at Torrejon AB in Spain around 1982 when we transitioned away from the Phantom to the F-16. Besides seeing some old converted models as modern day Wild Weasel's during Desert Storm, it was the last time I got to see them en masse.

I am still on the fence with the M370, though I agree with you regarding high end. I'm just an old fart who looks fast, but drives slow.

I wouldn't get the M370. I'd save the money to upgrade brakes to at least sport model akebonos.

...finally got the last of the parts I need to install my dual catch can setup. Below is pictured everything ... replacing all the 3/8 and 1/2 hosing with stainless steel as I go.

Made a DIY thread here that I will be updating as I make progress: DIY: Dual Oil Catch Cans
