I had forgotten that when we did the modshack air fang thing last year, I had broken off the upper tabs that held the stock covers over the fang vents. So now I have nothing to attach the top bolt of the Stillen inserts for the brake cooling. :ugh2:

... got the lines run for the brake booster. getting the old hose off the adapter that goes into the firewall was an epic battle.

I had done the Modshack Fang Air Duct modification quite awhile ago, and was reminded of that when I went to install the Stillen Brake Cooling Kit. One of the steps of the old DIY was to break off the plastic tab on the fascia so you had a flat surface to mount plastic 3 inch duct adapters. Therefore, when I went to install the Stillen bracket, there was nothing to attach it to. Luckily I had kept the plastic fang inserts, so I mounted those back on the fascia, and removed the bottom clip and moved it to the top tab upside down. Worked out pretty good.

Not a great setup, but still somewhat functional. http://www.the370z.com/members/sixpa...73-photo-3.jpg |
Had a place fab a new bracket for the brake booster ... the one I hand made looked like crap and only was using one mounting point so this is polished aluminum with two mounting points ... also rerouted the hose going behind the firewall so it looks cleaner now.

... putting a dent in the parts pile laying around the garage ... finally got around to getting the Unorthodox Racing aluminum crank and alternator pulleys installed.

... mounted the DIS to the firewall by the battery. Not hooked up yet, have been waiting for a plug and play harness to come from Japan because I don't feel like cutting any wires.

... with the fan assembly out of the way to do the pulley install, was a good time to get the upper and lower radiator hoses swapped out for some Z-1 silicone. So the engine bay as she sits today ...

... the upper Z-1 Radiator hose was an absolute monster to get on. Seemed like the end going to the radiator was smaller in diameter than the other end.
