It dropped to 20.7 mpg. I've taken the Z, Grand Cherokee, Power Wagon, and motorhome across Kansas a number of times. And they each got their worst mileage in that state every time. Doesn't matter if I'm going east to west, or the other way.

Kansas aye? That's odd. Well there's always 80 or 40 next time to avoid Kansas... and you know, get better mileage.
