How bad were the SPL subframe solid bushings to install? I am thinking about getting them done at MA while they have everything torn apart. Did you have any noise

That is exactly why I was going to let them do it. LOL I already have a diff cooler and DSS pro level axles for them to install. Why they are at it. Might as well.
I was under the car to install my diff cooler and tweaked my neck. I said F'it. I will let them do it. |

Since I have the front bumper off for the splitter install, and going with the Castrol brake fluid. I decided to up-grade the brake cooling ducts to a 3" hose from the Stillen 2" hose set-up.
![]() Pic's of the 10ft, 3" diameter hose, 4" to 3" reducers. The factory carbon fiber RC brake ducts are designed for a 4" hose. ![]()

And this is where I have to change and mod the new reducers to fit the RC brake ducts.

you summed up the subframe bushing install perfectly.
it is a gigantic pain in the *** that is worth the effort. The gain in ....predictability? for lack of a better term is worth it. There is some gear whine on deceleration (with whiteline diff bushings) but if you listen to music it's irrelevant.

Removed the old reducers, modded the new reducers to fit. Tomorrow, I'll use 2 part epoxy to hold the pieces together.

Brake duct work. After the epoxy cures overnight. I'll install them in the bumper tomorrow

This looks like a nice upgrade Rusty. How are you attaching the Allstar Performance aluminum flange to the (OEM?) brake shield? Rivets? I've ordered a set of ducts from Kevin at FE and they are 3" OD. I'm looking to bypass the Stillen kit entirely and essentially do the same thing as you are. Also, how long were the hoses that you ordered? Could you get by with a single 10 ft piece (5' for each side) or is that too short?
Thanks, Mick
