Dang Russ; hope all heals up well! I had partial knee replacement on left & right is coming up soon.
That's the biggest reason I drive an automatic & the 7 A/T is no slouch.

I say our youth has caught up to us. Had a total right hip replacement at the age of 47. :shakes head: I was not easy on my body.

I feel better now about starting my build, thou, unlike you my mechanical ability is in question, become all thumbs

will be starting mine shortly

Rusty 02-20-2016 12:08 PM

Thank you! :tiphat:

I've been turning wrenches and doing fabrication most of my life with degrees in welding engineering, mechanical engineering, and backyard engineering LOL. So a lot of stuff comes easy for me.

Don't be scarce of doing some stuff. Just take your time and plan it out and think it through. The more you do. The more experience you get. The better you get. ;) Looking forward towards your build. Start a journal.

The foot is coming along great. No more crutches. Still in walking boot. Inside the house. I don't use the boot. The pins come out in 3 weeks. Just have a very bad cramp in my calf that I can't get rid of. It's from compensating from walking with bad foot. :icon14:

Pins are out of my toes. :D No more toe-kabobs!:icon17: Have to wear a toe brace and a walking boot for another 2 weeks or so. Foot is still sore under the front pad. Think they sprained my ankle during surgery. Swelling in my ankle finally when down, and a pain in it is gone too thank God!

Glad to hear this, Rusty. You'll be ready for ZDayZ before you know it!

I backed the Nismo out of the garage today for the first time since Dec. with the walking boot on. It wasn't pretty. Damn walking boot covers both clutch and brake pedal at the same time. And I can't move it over to the left without hurting. :shakes head:

Jeez man .... read the last half-dozen posts ... you have been in the wars ..........

Get well soon ....

You can say that. Have Ti in my asss, and foot now. Even got a bullet hole in my back as a souvenir from the late '70's. :shakes head:

Driving the Nismo again. :icon17::happydance: :driving:

Had a set-back last week. My calf swelled up big enough that I had a hard time getting my jeans off. Went to the hospital, and found out I had blood clots in my calf. On meds to dissolve the the clots. Swelling is down. Seen the doc yesterday. Told me I can start doing things again. But don't over do it. Got a shoe on my foot for the first time since surgery. The foot is still swelled some. So I had to LOOSEN up the shoe laces a good bit. :icon17: Soon as I think I can trust the foot. I'm going to install my ATI dampener.

Glad to hear you are back on your feet...literally my friend. Time to get your strength back because you got some driving to do...
