Havent installed the hydro brake yet but most likely with will just replace the stock one using some of the bolt holes. Ill be sure to post pics when i get to that part. Some have had plates made, we'll see if I decide to do that. As far as the bracket, I got it from George Marstanovic from Maverick Motorsports. Works on the z33 and z34 although it rubbed a bit on my car.

Sorry haven't logged in in a while again. Update: I did that event last year but not with the hydro. Turns out I couldn't get it to bleed right so I had no handbrake. It was a 2 day event and when I got there Saturday my clutch wa sticking to the floor from over heating. So I had no handbrake and no clutch...great... how was I supposed to drift now?? Well by just feinting and lot of gas!!! Had fun but it could have been better. Did good on the bank but needed an ebrake on a tight turn so I kept spinning :/ That night had some friends hook me up with some Motul RBF600 and I bled it that night which fixed the problem for the next day.
Now to 2015... First event of the year was last month and since I had time to work out the bugs with my ebrake I was super excited for this event. By far my best driving. I can honestly say I have really improved and am now getting consistent with each run. Spun maybe 4 or 5 times out of say 50 runs. First time ever I had fans lol! A mother and her two kids came and asked if they could take a picture with me, said I was their favorite driver. That was awesome, gave them ridealongs shortly after. Anyways, enough with the talking, here are some pics. Ill try to work on uploading some video. Last edited by VDC_OFF; 04-10-2015 at 02:25 PM. |

Nice, a drifting thread!
Hey I was curious why you went with calipers for a hydraulic handbrake instead of installing a good 2-way diff first? Also, in a tight corner with no handbrake or clutch, like your last event, you can always try left-foot braking. It's kinda hard to pull off but it's good to have options ; ) Keep sliding! |

i have my diff welded so its always locked and loaded
it actually worked pretty good just giving it gas. i normally use left foot braking to slow the car down if i enter too fast |

More updates. Got some slightly used Stance Truetype Coilovers installed along with some new Voodoo13 camber and toe arms.
Next I had to find a way to fix this clutch sticking problem. Dont think it was a CSC issue since there was no loss of fluid so I replaced the master along with a stainless line and replaced the fluid even though I put new Motul RBF600 fluid just a few months back. Turns out the fluid was already black so could have been the problem, didnt know this stuff only last a few months. After an alignment I had a drift event to test everything out. It was hot as %#@# out being July in Texas. My car said 104 degrees outside. My wife immediately regretted coming with me as she couldnt take the heat. A/C wasnt working so well since we were moving much but we stuck it out by opening the doors after each run lol. Anyways, had a blast. The car felt more planted and transitioned awesome without having to release the throttle which made for a lot of smoke and speed. Here were some of the pics that popped up! |

voodoo parts are good, nice and beefy. Only issue we ran into was the locking nut gets hidden inside the fork where the bolt goes so releasing or tightening took a workaround trying to get a wrench in there.
As far as the ebrake, was interested to try it out but lost pressure with it. Checked it out after the event and turns out the hard line i made that goes over the rear hub on one side was too close to the rotor. Grinded it down and made a hole by accident... oops lol. Made a new line and fixed the problem, will try again next time. Who needs an ebrake anyways haha Sent from my LG-D631 using Tapatalk |
