Corbin's 09 MB journal
Hey guys-
I have had my z for a while now. I bought it in 09 brand new from Bankston Nissan. Bankston was HORRIBLE to deal with, and I will most likely never purchase another Nissan again. If I do it sure will not be from them. However, I have started building my car and figured it was time to take the plunge into a build thread. I plan on using the car in various TT, auto-x and HPDE events, so the car will be more geared towards function with daily driveability. I bought the car as a complete base model and had intentions of building it form the start. It has no SRM, did not have a bbk, or a diff. I have had over 15 sets of wheels on this car. Most of them 18's but I have had a set of 20's as well as Volk 19's The wheels I currently have for some reason have been my favorite. They are subtle, light, and cheap... with decent fitment for our cars. The car as it sits currently has: Engine: Injen CIA NST Pulley kit Berk Resonated Test Pipes Custom Nismo exhaust with an X pipe Uprev custome tune done by Keith at AWDTuning. Interior: Weighted Titanium shift knob Autometer wideband kit Lighted kick plates (came with the car) Suspension and Brakes: KW Variant 3 coilovers Eibach camber arms Akebono BBK (Thanks to my wonderful girlfriend) SS brake lines Exterior: Gloss black vinyl roof Evo-r Carbon Fiber fangs 18x9.5+15 MB Battles Future plans: A GOOD set of front control arms Some type of FI setup Custom set of wheels Functional spoiler Custom functional front diffuser Carbonetic 2 way diff Stripped Interior/Racing seats and harness. I have had many cars, here are the two I had right before I bought the Z. Corvette with cam and nitrous, and an audi S4 with all boltons. http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo1/blkaudis4/v.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...is4/mail-4.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...is4/mail-7.jpg When I first bought the car, I lowered it the same day. http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/oo1/blkaudis4/zz.jpg My car with a set of oldschool racing hart cx5 http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...is4/zfront.jpg A lot of people asked what G35 Rays look like on our car. http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...s4/zedside.jpg I also had a set of XXR 521's on the car. I was happy with the look, but not the ride and quality of the wheels. http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...s4/zedrotm.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...audis4/zd5.jpg A few pics after waxing http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...audis4/zd7.jpg http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...audis4/zd8.jpg I ran test pipes, a top speed Y pipe and 3 inch all the way back for a little while http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...audis4/zd2.jpg This is how the car sits now I had my current wheels white http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...is4/zed182.jpg Now they are battleship gray http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...udis4/mbg1.jpg Same wheels in bronze http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...is4/zed181.jpg always have to have an a$$ shot http://i356.photobucket.com/albums/o...s4/exhuast.jpg I will upload pictures when I get home from work. Went through several changes with wheels I see.
that is how I use to be. Costly fo sho' |
Yep- That isnt even all of them! I think I am just going to stick with these cheap 18's I have now until I can order me a really nice set of wheels. I loved my racing harts, but bent one and could not find a replacement. I am really wanting a set of CE28's or WORK meisters.
