Glad you are ok and congrats on the sweet new ride! At least you don't need to buy an oil cooler now

They come standard on the 2012 cars.

I wasn't planning on it at first, but I'm giving it some serious thought now. I just want a very mild drop though because I don't want to be scraping on every speed bump at work. Anyone have a suggestion for a mild .5 inch drop or so? I hear good things about Swift springs.. (not gonna shell out the money for coilovers) If anyone has them, please let me know your impressions with speed bumps and scraping in general.

I doubt that on the windshield, that would be screaming "Pull me over"!

I don't have firsthand experience with them, but from what i've read swift springs give more like ~1in drop all around.

Painted my lights the other day and installed LEDs. The strip I've done before so it wasn't too bad, but the halo was a PITA. 50 LEDs total between the two headlights.

Oh, also replaced the front and rear Nissan badges

Man.. I'm having flashbacks of my first Z. I had a 280zx turbo back in the day and same thing happened to me. It was totaled. An RX7 hydroplaned and I went flying into a median. It has been almost 20 years since I had a Z. Too long. Between kids, work and everything else it seemed that I would never get another one. I can't tell everyone enough how many times I've logged on to this site and dreamt of one day calling myself a Z owner again. You are blessed dude that you were able to replace it right away. I'm glad no one was hurt. As for me.......I finally got my dream car, again. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Peace and blessings!!

Welcome back to the Z family! Yours is looking very nice. Until something better than a Z becomes affordable, I don't see myself owning anything else.

RoadZter 12-22-2011 04:18 PM

ditto man. Tks!
