What sensors are you getting again??? I think you got the harness with this order. HKS told me 350z's did not need the harness but it was not tested on the 370z yet. On my end everything works great without the harness. By adding it I wnder if there are more viewable stock sensors with the harness attached. I guess we will find out, only a $35 part no biggy. I might find the time to solder the wires directly to the stock wires. This way I can have my OBDll port open at all times, along with a cleaner look and install.

On another note did you get pricing from that shop that does the custom screen. What screen are you going to use. I dont want to use a Alpine while I have a Pioneer head unit, that would look tacky. Pioneer currently does not have a screen for sale but they have an older model we could try to source somewhere. This older model matches our Pioneer unit perfectly. Here is a link, maybe you can help me source one. I am sure we can find one if we both try.

Here is the link: Pioneer USA - AVD-W7900 - Rear Seat Viewing Enjoyment for Friends and Family

It has a glossy bezel that matches our unit.

Edit: Also it has a small speaker in the back of the unit. This would be great for the alarm feture of the HKS Camp2 that warns you when you hit a critical setting.

It would be nice if one could retrofit that screen into the center cluster lid location and just have it for HKS Camp 2 system.

Still finalizing a few details with a screen, HKS Camp 2, etc. Should know more by the end of the week hopefully, if not sooner.

Let me know as I'm trying to decide on either installing DEFi gauges or just say frig it and look into stereo upgrades and the camp 2 system.

I would prefer to have the screen in the cluster lid location because line of sight but haven't really researched it, to have a final decision.

Any info you could share would help me in my final choice.

theDreamer 07-13-2010 08:13 AM

I can give you sort of an idea of what might happen, this is Project Mothra from this past weekend. They have a Alpine headunit with an Alpine screen in the cubby. JB and I both have Pioneer Z110 headunits, and are hoping to find a Pioneer screen to match.

I am sure a template could be made, but it all depends on what screen you use (that is an Alpine), how you want the screen positioned, etc.

theDreamer 07-14-2010 08:01 AM

You should, it will be out and about once it is done here soon.

JB-370z 07-14-2010 06:08 PM

In that last pic I noticed a really nice white Z in the back. :)

LiquidZ 07-14-2010 06:11 PM

Dreamer, I can't wait to see your results!

theDreamer 07-14-2010 06:47 PM

Car started up today with the stock tune, everything looks great and sounds good. Working on getting the right tune and getting the car running properly the next couple of days, and planning on hitting a dyno at the end of the week along with JB's twin turbo 370z.

Probably, will need that washer fluid at some point, but it is low on the priority list currently. Want to finish up the install and then sit down and slot through everything we missed or should. Which as of now has been short.

SmoothZ 07-14-2010 07:42 PM

Amazing.... just speechless here. Congrats on the build so far.

theDreamer 07-16-2010 03:21 PM

Quick update:
Drove the car for a short trip today, it is doing very well but a little bit of tuning left. Then off to a dyno and screen install for the HKS Camp 2.

theDreamer 07-16-2010 04:38 PM

Just got a phone call, HKS Camp 2 has arrived and the car will be shipped off to have that installed along with a screen, then the remaining parts of the Camp 2 will be installed (boost/AFR/etc.).

Will do, if we use them.
Not 100% sure which ones we are going to use in the end, but should have more details after the weekend.

Without speaking to much on Shumby's behalf I would say it is doing pretty damn well so far.
He drove it back around 2,000 miles after getting it installed in 24 hours, and I believe he said it has around a total of 5,000 miles on it at this point.
