Love that hood!

So early non data logging testing, use to run 205-210 degree for water temps even when it was 40 degrees outside. Past week the only time I get up that high is in heavy traffic or at a long street light but once I get moving it instantly drops 5-10 degrees quickly. Been running 195 if the car is moving which is great.

Got asked about where the approximate vents are over the engine bay, and I don't have a very high end camera so tough to get pictures. So I stole an image from GTM and put some red boxes where the vents are.

Can see the first one on each side is probably the "best" vent and then each one going back will do less and less. Funny story from this weekend, had to run by HEB and while in the store for a few minutes, came out to find a bird in the first vent getting warm. Flew off before I got a picture.

I want to say the AMS hood I have is similarly located, perhaps a bit more down. Good info.

From what I have seen online, not seen one in person, I would agree. I thinkthe AMS hood has slight larger openings than the Seibon TS hood so that might help a bit also.

After 6 months of being busy and partially lazy, and the help of a friend I got the Z emblems on the car to replace the Nissan hamburgers. Backplate was painted PG to match my car, Nissan sure loves to put glue/tape/whatever to hold these things down.

Well one year later update, but after over 85,000 miles (70k+ with boost) my CSC has failed and my clutch was started to slip very badly.
Called up Joe@ZSpeed and spoke with him today and got my new parts ordered. Ended up with the Stage 3 Daily package he sells.

Were you running a stock clutch?

Yep, stock clutch, flywheel, csc, all factory original.

You'l love it I'm sure. I just had mine fail at 43k miles and replaced it with the HD CSC and South Bend Stage 2 daily. Pedal is noticably heavier but not over the top. Engagement is SO much smoother than stock though. Makes me feel better that it handles more power as well since I autocross frequently.

That is what I am hoping for, plus thinking of getting the RJM pedal next year to help even more.
