Nice

Had some fun last night, took the car out to break everything back in.
The car did very well, stupid TT systems get me on the top end always, guess I need more power now? Anyways, suspension is still settling but feels great, trying to find that great setting on the EDFC. The new Kenwood head unit also has a lot of little toys and I need to read the manual on to figure it all out.

Smaller pulley could fix that quickly.

** cough cough stage 1.5 cough cough **

theDreamer 03-04-2012 10:30 AM

Thinking stage 1.5 would be good, but not till end of year.
I need brakes badly now.

As much as I want to do that, not sure if my future will hold that for my car.

theDreamer 03-04-2012 10:36 AM

My only question I have though is with my suspension.
When going over some bumps or holes in the road my rear right makes a plop type of noise. Only had the coilovers on for 200 miles and all of that was basically highway miles, but wondering if this noise is going to stay forever or just the system getting settled?

I wish, just going to do the basic of pads/lines/rotors for now. Maybe a full BBK upgrade in the future.

It's possible that they are just breaking in. Can you more specifically describe the sound?

Check your sway bar end link. Check your suspension bushings. Check your pre-load.

The 'plopping' sound is you crapping yourself when a Red Goat pulls up next to you at the lights.

Looking good Matt, maybe the 'Unicorn' car will re-appear in the parking lot tomorrow.

Love the work to the center cubby/dash area!

What's the driver on needing brake upgrades? Are you getting heat fade from too much repetitive use coming down from your sprints with the SC? :) If you want a BBK for looks I'm down with that, but I don't think you'll really *need* a BBK unless you're tracking the car. In any case the sport package calipers are actually pretty decent ones, so with the right rotors and pads it's a pretty good system. What pads are you on now?

O&G 03-05-2012 11:13 AM

DBA 2 piece rotor :yum: , not sure which pads are the best now-a-days. Love what Baker did w/ your dash and that display is awesome.
