Scott at vivid was a pleasure to work with. He sent over the VQ37 block and even threw in some subaru N/A heads, random valves, retainers, cams, a phone cord and some home interior LED lights LOL. All for $300 shipped. Felt like a bought a storage locker :)

Any updates? It's been so long!

Just been enjoying the Z, stomping around town @ 11 psi making people mad! JTran is going to Cali next week to talk to the people @ Motec, trying to see if we can get a stand alone from them and crack this cam signal since none else cares about it. Car runs great but it would run even better w/ a full standalone. SEMA in November, weather is turning great for boost down here, I'll throw her on the dyno in the next few weeks and get some decent numbers w/ this Texas fall weather.

I'm also looking around for a crank so we can start assembling my built bottom end. I've been trying to save some money over these past few months!

You're welcome, man. I'm still pissed we missed out on having 2 custom single turbo 370Zs up at ZDayz this year.

turbo is off and being sent to Comp. for a rebuild to 7065. pistons, rods, head studz and gaskets ordered. Stillen headers on order to construct new turbo manifolds. they will be coated and wrapped. Another wastegate on order, running duels now. Sold my Work equips to help fund the project. back to the stock 40th wheels. going big in the fourth quarter! car will be down for few weeks, building bottom end in house, super excited to help put together my first VQ! No labor cost too! winning!!

Good luck with your build! What compression are you going with? No head/cam work?

goin for 600whp so I don't think head work is necessary. Ill make the final decision when everything is taken apart, VVEL tuning is looking promising. Just a simple stout build. Lowered the compression to 10:1. Dropping motor, fab new hotside piping then build bottom end. Fab and waiting on parts will consume the most time. Motor aassembly just a day or so.
