How much heat did you use? Any tips when using the heat gun?

And where's the updates?! You loaded all the mods on the first page. lol

red6spd 11-01-2011 06:37 AM

Those headlights really make a difference, nice job man.

It looks like you've got it pretty flush just on springs, keep up the good work

Thanks Dallaz! I wont be needing the intakes for my next mod.

Just enough to soften the plastic and the glue inside. Once u pop the housing apply heat as you pry it open. An extra person will be good. I haven't done anything else to it yet, those are mods that I've done for the last few months but never got around posting lol. Big update soon though!

I got to see your car in person today at Cars and Coffee, and the pictures/write-ups don't do it justice. It's gorgeous.

Looking forward to further write-ups.

I'm going to miss the next one since I'll be out of town.

When January rolls around, I should have the Nismo front bumper on the car, the door handles painted, and the springs and spacers on.

Got the call from Manny at Baker this afternoon that the bumper is in, but the brackets are on back order. I had hoped to have everything done this week, but it wasn't meant to be. With all the travel coming-up over the next three weeks, it's probably going to be the first week in December before things can get done.

Srenity 11-18-2011 10:55 PM

Love the black fuel gauge mod. How did you go about keeping the E,F, fuel symbol and dashes in perfect order?

Ron 11-19-2011 01:41 PM

It's a complete overlay that has the letters and symbols already printed on it. So all I did was:

1. Mask the orange letters/symbols on the stock gauge
2. Paint the gauge black
3. Scrape the orange paint from the stock gauge,
4. Stick the overlay on top.

You can probably get an overlay from Black Cat Customs. They don't stock them though, it was made by request from a forum member here, Digitonium. He did his and sold me the spare.

Ron - when you get ready to change wheels, we need to talk. I'd like first shot at buying your factory Nismo rims.

Hey Mike, I think I might keep the nismo wheels man.

No worries. If they are ever available, I'd just appreciate you keeping me in mind.

BTW - those ADV10 wheels were gorgeous!

b1adesofcha0s 11-20-2011 12:53 PM

Those wheels would look great on your Nismo

Ron 11-20-2011 01:06 PM

W.O.W. 370Z 11-20-2011 01:17 PM

What type of wheels you looking for? Concave?

Ron 11-20-2011 01:31 PM

Step lip or concave.. I liked those ADV10 cuz they have both :D SSR SP3s are nice but I don't like the convex face on them.

I used to have mesh wheels so I want something different. I guess most concave step lip wheels will run for over 5k-6k then

W.O.W. 370Z 11-20-2011 01:33 PM

Yes sir. You gotta pay to play. Concave is a fad that is dying down IMHO.

Ron 11-20-2011 02:50 PM

hmm so apparently that wheel has a lot of options that I don't really need and some others that I can do without and still get a similar look... let see.

Ron 11-22-2011 01:38 PM

Fitment... hmm could be better. I had to grind some of the edges on all the Password:JDM pieces, the battery and master brake cylinder covers where hitting the hinges on the hood when closing. The radiator cooling plate needed some trimming near the headlights... Took me 10min to fix so def not something to keep you from getting them.

thetaste 11-22-2011 01:44 PM

Dat looks nice man.

Dallaz 11-22-2011 02:07 PM

Wow! I want

O&G 11-22-2011 02:43 PM

nizzice

gurneyeagle 11-22-2011 03:15 PM

That didn't take long Ron!

Looks great.
