Yes. The side mounts are made by Status, so they get them certified like the seats. The bases are made by other companies so that is out of their control.

Yes. The side mounts are made by Status, so they get them certified like the seats. The bases are made by other companies so that is out of their control. (And the sliders would be out of the question for certification). Not sure if the base would have to be listed as FIA certified or as long as the mounting complied with regs it would suffice. You see many cars with custom fabricated mounts, cages, etc competing and it's not like those are 'certified'. They just conform to a certain standard. At least that is my limited understanding of it.
