The rears are not easy, I got lucky and when a lady hit my rear end and my suspension was being replaced I threw in some rear spacers for my volks.
Here is a DIY on the rears: DIY: ** Rear 20mm stud replacement spacers

I really doubt it would take a good shop 5 hours of labor, but it is probably what is 'on the books' so they can charge that.

Lol. Ya Ed! You should have called me! (My DIY)

I think he meant the hub replacement time, not spacer install...

Lol true, if only it was as easy as your DIY! I honestly think if the ARP studs were 5mm shorter, they could get in there without removing the rear hubs.

Got these bad boys installed in the new front hubs tonight:

Now that the dye penetrant test is done and everything is good to go, I can get these installed and finally get the wheels back on

Are they going to stick thru the end of the lug nuts?

Most likely. I'll just have to accept it. I'll use a sharpie to mark the ends black lol

Not a sharpie! The chemicals in a sharpie will cause a chemical sintering of the steel alloy, weakening it to a level that will be dangerous to operate your vehicle over 50 kmh. In turn the sintering will attract oxides that will begin a dangerous corrosion of your hub and studs. Probably end up seizing your lug nuts....

Thanks

I have a few goodies here/on the way that I'm hoping to get installed in the next two weeks as soon as it warms up a bit again. One of them is pretty... different lol. Should help keep me clear of tickets this summer though!

Edit: Also, the ARP studs are now getting cut down for sure. I had changed my mind and was going to run them at full length, however the Project Kics R40 Revo lugs, which are advertised as being open-ended with detachable caps, are not truly open ended. Once you pop the caps off, it becomes 'open ended' in style only, the studs cannot protrude from the end as there is an extra piece of metal in there to secure the caps. For this reason, and in order to be able to use the lugs with the caps on as I originally wanted to, I'm taking 1.25" off the studs. At least now I can install the ARP rear studs without taking the hubs off.
